    We've got **** strikers.
    I predicted 8 nil.
It should have been 8 nil.

Begrudgingly, 3 nil will have to do.

    UTT

    Seriously though, well done City

P.S- I also knew the result of the 3.15 Fairyhouse (as advertised on the racing thread).

Nostradamus of the North has plundered bet 365 for a few bob today.

Although admittedly Northampton are one of the weaker teams in the Division, I thought our build-up play and the inter-passing from the Back Four out was a delight to watch, probably the best of the season. With more effective finishing we could well have doubled the score. Add to that a Referee who turned down at least three legitimate calls for our penalties and it could have been even higher.

Looking forward to next season, which increasingly is looking like a return to the Championship, hopefully as Division Champions, we already have the nucleus of a team which can be very competitive. From goalkeeper through mid-field we have young energetic talented players and backups, assuming we can get them all signed. Our main weakness is in the strike force. A harsh criticism considering we lead the Division in scoring and our wingers KLP (10 goals) and Malik Walks (!8) are both very young and have much room for improvement. But both Eaves and Scott have failed to impress, are clearly below average, and should be traded. Magennis (12 goals) is much better and does well against international opposition for Northern Island and could be a useful backup.

But the addition of an experienced, productive, fast Championship quality striker must be our main priority in the off season. Lets hope McCann, if he stays, has a short list of who he wants. Any suggestions on here ????

They turned out to be the poorest team we've played this season, though credit to the boys who made them look that way.

Elder & Coyle were excellent all afternoon, and Elders goal and his pass for Whyte's goal was De Bruyne'esque.

Slater had another good game and certainly looks more at home in the deeper midfield position.

Honeyman & Docherty were also good, Docherty in particular, as I did think George made one or two strange decisions during the game.

Magennis had a good first half and was unlucky to have his goal chalked off, Wilk's IMO had a poorish afternoon, the times now he runs towards the byline, and the ball goes out of play is becoming a bit of a habit. He really needs to work on that, as to step up to the next level he has to improve his touch.

KLP had a good game, he will get better and did miss one or two good chances, but overall to get into double figures is a great achievement at his age.

I counted two Hells and two Hulls, but no Halifax.
Just thought, I'd point that out for the record.
note to self: I must stop watching the Chauvin murder trial!

I've just watched the highlights on the OWS. It was even better than I thought it was live. I recommend it because it has different camera angles. There was one in the North Stand directly behind Elder's shot. I couldn't see the bend on it from the side.

I thought it was Docherty. They both more the same colour boot . KLP got the same treatment after his goal and didn't seem to enjoy it either. I bet Whyte was glad Mags was off by the time he scored.

He would be better off slapping them when they missed a chance.
