Not been there for years, but it used to be a standard saturday routine to go there and Stephenson's next door for some fresh baked bread. Stephenson's was the best bread I recall eating. Unfortunately Frank died and the shop was sold.

I was stuck in the Bilton one. Booked my order slot for 18.15 Finally got the order at 20.10 two hours waiting, the drive through gridlocked the car park with traffic backing up to Diadem roundabout and beyond.

Won't be doing that again. Decent fish and chips in the end though.
I'm (not really) amazed that people bother today, made a nice fish pie for lunch and had left overs for tea

Patty & Chips was good
Tofish was a bit crap and very overpriced.

Went with Winchester chippy today, my daughter
paid, a treat for laying the turf, building decking and laying a patio. Fish, chips and mushy peas,
bloody luvley !!!!!!

Glad to see I'm not the only Daughter Handyman,trouble is I've got 3:emoticon-0101-sadsm
I’ve got two and a son... daddy handyman to all three. The list of trades I’ve had to learn to work on their properties is ridiculous lol.

Plastering
Carpentry
Electrics
Gardening etc.
And of course the one they all want.
Bank manager and taxi rank ....
