I’ve apparently done similar before as a kid. My Mum was taking me and my cousin somewhere on the bus and on the bus there was a poster of a group of monkeys so me and my cousin started laughing saying “look Mum, monkeys” and then started doing monkey noises, problem was there was a black guy right by the poster... naturally me and my cousin were oblivious but my Mum said she wanted the ground to swallow her up that day .
All dog up mate... Just trying to keep my head tight. Been struggling a bit, but I've not ****ed up like I used to and just kept ticking over. Spring is here and I'm motivated again.. Had zero for a while

Tbh mate I'm coming out of 20 years of depression.. I think I've finally got control of myself and my emotions.. I knew I was ****ed up throughout, but now I'm out the other end im realising just how ****ed up I was. Thanks for asking BY THE POWER OF GRAY SKULL... I HAVE THE POWER.
My daughter, now 25, was at some fancy prep school when she was a toddler. Not many black people in York, truth be told, but my daughter's best friend was a black kid, the daughter of a barrister. I bought my daughter a comic on the way home from school after picking her up. As usual, as soon as we got in she sat on my lap with her comic and demanded a read. In the story, the main character was a black girl. My daughter immediately pointed to her and said 'She's like Betty'. I have no idea why I did what came next: I stuttered and said 'Er, er, yes, she has shoes like Betty'. 'No, she has the same colour face as Betty?'. 'I, er, don't think we should say that, Lucy'. 'Dad, is there something wrong with brown skin?'. 'No, no, no, that's not what I mean. You, just, er,,,, let's not talk about it". Complete parental **** up. To my daughter, black/brown skin was just a distinguishing feature like red hair or being tall. The way it should be. She has plenty of black and Asian friends now, especially since uni. The only prejudice she seems to have is with Man U fans, which is awkward as her feller and her half-sister are ones.
I envy you. Exercise and some sort of regime is better than medication, imo. I got a dog and started running/jogging again @10 years ago, three years after getting a bike. Haven't touch citalopram since, even though my doctors said I should stay on them. Ups and downs since then, especially with exercise and drinking, but I can't explain the difference between being a flawed twat with manageable habits, and being a paranoid zombie. Good luck to you, feller, and all those who try.
I agree with you ... some humour is merely stereotypical, not malicious ... but some individuals will always be sensitive either down to character traits or past experience ... can be a difficult balance.
That's it mate the doc put me on fluoxitene, but I decided to not bother. The nursery rhyme I swallowed a spider to catch the fly came to mind. I didn't like knowing I was on meds, it made it worse, so I through them away and got on with it. You're right excersize is the answer
A talented England U21 team heading out at the group stage again as it stands, led by a complete ****ing oaf.
