It’s in our hands. All we have to do is keep winning games. Concentrate on the next game and get a result. I don’t care if we get 8 ugly wins now, one nil will do me fine. Not a great believer in Grant but will be really pleased for him if we get promoted. He needs it as well. Just got to get over the line now, not bothered how we do it.

Come on, that's a ridiculous accusation. I don't remember anyone suggesting that.
Insinuated maybe that if they did win 'em all, some may be ahead of City -

They may have mentioned games in hand giving other teams an opportunity to get more points than Hull City, but in fact it doesn't matter when those games in hand are played, or against whom.

The "if every team wins all their remaining games" is an impossible postulation that everyone would understand. The suggestion that "it is possible that those games in hand may put teams ahead of Hull City at the end of the season" is a valid statement. A game in hand can be ANY fixture a team has not played yet that may possibly add more points to their final season total above the final total that Hull City could possibly accrue.

It changes in probability (+/-) as more results (fixtures played) are known. It is not untrue.

Some people may have "hoped" Hull City would win all their remaining games.

"Way too much information anyway. It’s boring."

It's this 'points on the board' vs 'games in hand' debate getting a bit tedious.

Points on the board are good and cannot be taken away.
Opposition games in hand are potential banana skins for us.

If we win all our games we're fine but there's a good chance we won't so we might be relying on others to slip up a bit aswell.

That's it really, discuss again in May.

At this moment there's no team in this league I'd swap position, points or games in hand with.

If we lost all our games that are left this season, guess how many teams could possibly beat us to a playoff place. (At least we're safe from relegation. Phew !). IMO.

The answer: 17 teams. I think we're in decent shape.

I don't kid myself and how do you know whether anybody could see the last 5/6 results.
Regardless of the opposition, I believe City can win any match.
Obviously, it's a bit harder when playing Man City but I still believe Hull City can win.
Also, I believe that you should go out to win every match. Draws are for the undecided and MOST of the time serve no purpose.
No good going 10 matches undefeated if 8 are draws.
I was brassed off when we had the ****ty spell but I was confident we could turn it around and we have turned it around BIG TIME.
It's time to turn the screw City.

    City 5 - Gills 0

    Happy days

    Sorry Canada but it's meaningless.
We won't lose all remaining games.
The 17 teams will have to find another way to fill the remaining auto spot and the 4 play off places.

It seems you're not reading the other equally meaningless posts on this thread suggesting City and other clubs may well win all of their remaining games, and missing a slight touch of sarcasm on my part.

I just noticed the Super League season starts this weekend. We don't have any games immediately after RL games except for the big one vs Sunderland on April 20. Let's hope the pitch holds up for that one.

    Agreed.

Spoke about that possible scenario today at work and it got a bit heated to say the least.
