An excellent performance which will hopefully kick-start the season. Quite excited by the semi final but it is a shame that it will not be possible to attend.

I know you're being flippant but I've seen Macca save one against the Toon last season, it's the only one that I can remember though.

You know what - i actually didnt think he had saved one. I thought it was mentioned by one of the 'experts' on a recent live game where we conceded a penalty when he was in goal.

Unless I misheard it, which is highly plausible as i find it hard to hear stuff with my head up my own arse :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Glad we didn't get City, but Leicester are a very good side. Like being asked if you'd rather be shot or stabbed.

P.s. I still think on our day we can beat any team....let's hope the semifinal is our day.
I couldn't help thinking, as no doubt many others too, how ironic a situation for us yesterday. Either winning team would get yet more mentions of their past results (yes, those two results) ahead of, during and most likely after the game too. But what a fantastic prospect it must have been for Ralph in particular, the Final nail in that coffin carrying the comments from lazy, misinformed and frankly, biased pundits when he leads his team out in THE FINAL! You could not make this story up for justice to be served to which ever team we would meet in the semis. Regretfully the BBC will still be employing the most partisan of pundits when we play his team. I just have this feeling that we will well and truly lay this ghost of the past, once and for all!

As I said previously, last season Leicester got three points from us, we got three points from them. That's actually all that matters.

Two minutes before kick off on semi-final day:

“So here we are as Southampton face the team who beat them 9-0 last season; the team that has just knocked out the team who beat Southampton 9-0 this season. “
