Joking aside, why can't Labour select decent local candidates like they did when they were worth voting for?...

Ah, they use "scum" now instead of "thick as mince". That's an improvement

This is true. I found Charlie Stayt taking the piss out of Robert Jenrick quite amusing.
Yes, a good example of humour being subjective. Enjoy...
Would Stayt or the grotesquely patronising Naga taken the piss out of any other Country's flag?

They’re taking the piss out of Jenrick, clearly. The tears over this on social media are mental.
Would they have taken the piss out of any other politician from any other Country?
Of course they wouldn't.
Nobody is arsed about acts of corruption like that! Its standard daily practise nowadays. If that politician deserved ridicule, I think so. I believe Jenrick unlawfully helping a Tory donor avoid £40m in tax is a better indicator of his patriotic credentials than having a flag and portrait of the Queen in the background of his interviews but I appreciate these symbols are incredibly important to some people in convincing themselves they’ve not been absolutely mugged off by the government.
Most definitely not. And particularly not the EU's.
Munchetty is arrogant and sneering. In other words, typical BBC. Hope the bulk of the British public see through her soon.
Yes, Lineker and Munchetty are everything the BBC stand for at present. A pair who think they're untouchable...

Because Americans do. We copy so much all the best bits of American life without asking questions like that. It's an item of background furnishing. Particularly nauseating that it appears in every classroom.
They weren't taking the piss out of the flag per se, they were having a mild dig at Tories being unable to appear on TV without a flag behind them, which is indeed laughable.
Why would you have a flag indoors anyway, don't they require wind?

I clarified what I said, in that they were taking the piss out of a Tory.
Typical BBC.
They wouldn't have done this with any other politician from any other Country.
Ah, I see. You changed what you said.
