Ah, they use "scum" now instead of "thick as mince". That's an improvement

Yes, a good example of humour being subjective. Enjoy...

Would Stayt or the grotesquely patronising Naga taken the piss out of any other Country's flag?

They’re taking the piss out of Jenrick, clearly. The tears over this on social media are mental.

Most definitely not. And particularly not the EU's.

Munchetty is arrogant and sneering. In other words, typical BBC. Hope the bulk of the British public see through her soon.

Would they have taken the piss out of any other politician from any other Country?
    Of course they wouldn't.

If that politician deserved ridicule, I think so. I believe Jenrick unlawfully helping a Tory donor avoid £40m in tax is a better indicator of his patriotic credentials than having a flag and portrait of the Queen in the background of his interviews but I appreciate these symbols are incredibly important to some people in convincing themselves they’ve not been absolutely mugged off by the government.

Nobody is arsed about acts of corruption like that! Its standard daily practise nowadays.

Yes, Lineker and Munchetty are everything the BBC stand for at present. A pair who think they're untouchable...

It seems they are, although the new boss at least seems to be making some changes.

Might start a campaign to have Peter Shilton present Match of the Day and have Tommy Robinson replace Naga. We didn’t win two wars to be told we can’t be proud to be Inglish.

They weren't taking the piss out of the flag per se, they were having a mild dig at Tories being unable to appear on TV without a flag behind them, which is indeed laughable.

Why would you have a flag indoors anyway, don't they require wind?

Because Americans do. We copy so much all the best bits of American life without asking questions like that. It's an item of background furnishing. Particularly nauseating that it appears in every classroom.

I clarified what I said, in that they were taking the piss out of a Tory.
    Typical BBC.
They wouldn't have done this with any other politician from any other Country.

Rubbish Stroller...you need a flag, in new EXCITING news .... I have found a second playoff flag in my Wembley program (must have out it there as a souvenir .)
I have now got two flags behind me for tomorrows Zoom meeting.

You "one flag" Tories are just so disrespectful

I just think it's odd that she likes the tweets and then a couple of hours later doesn't like them and apologises. It's just unprofessional of 'presenters', whatever their status to be so flippant to interviewees. Jenrick is a big enough prick to not need any help from anyone else to sound idiotic...
