India showing why they're not very far behind England in the T20 ratings. A bit strange how the pitch looked hard to bat on for us, and looked much easier for India. Possibly the dew making the ball skid on. Buttler dropped Kholi, Stokes dropped a dolly and England generally bowled poorly. Really missed the electric pace of Wood, our consistently quickest bowler. Going to be a close series.
Wood may be our quickest bowler, but Archer's our best. He could bowl quicker, but relies on accuracy.
Wood bowled superbly in the first game. No substitute for raw, sustained pace. Archer is a fantastic talent too. Together they were brilliant and I'd like those two to open the bowling in the ashes. Shame Wood was injured, which is his ongoing problem.
Yes, I'd like to see them opening the bowling in Australia too. My point was that Archer can bowl as quickly as Wood, but sometimes chooses not to, particularly in white ball cricket. I consider him a better bowler than Wood because he has more guile.
Archer has more variations than Wood, making him the better one day bowler. He can sometimes bowl as quickly as Wood, but will never match Wood's consistently raw pace, bowling between 90mph-95mph over after over. That makes Wood ideal for test cricket, especially on Australian wickets.
England let that slip but should have enough in their batting armour to overcome the score, tremendous batting from kohli though
Yeah saw that in a tweet by Stuart Broad.......all three games so far win toss, bowl first and chase, win comfortably.......
