He used to terrify me but for a while now I've had faith in him and you could see why today. He seems to have found his voice and didn't put a foot wrong, he was brilliant.
i didn’t get to see the game here unfortunately but was Burge motm or did someone else get it? Having him in this form is huge for us in the remaining games!

Seeing the 3 Tranmere defenders trying to run back reminded me of Peter Reid trying to track back against Maradona for his '2nd' goal in the hand of god game. Like watching someone running through treacle.
Was that 09 down on his knees praying?
Yep, Gooch was given the opportunity with the sublime ball through, though his pace got him on the end of the pass.yes it was
ok, i know the pass was sublime and that gooch had had a quiet game to say the least, but i want to give him plenty of credit for the way he made the run and the fact that he did not just try to blast the ball, he waited until just the right moment and picked his spot well...many would have wanted to take a touch or just put their laces through it.
O’Nien motm for me but Burge ran him close!Too smashed to check but I’d imagine there’s been praise for burge. Got to be honest, sometimes I feel a bit nervy with him (still clearly our best gk) but today he was top quality like. Held absolutely everything and deserved his clean sheet, my Motm.

But he made the goal by waiting just long enough for the keeper to commit. It was a fantastically taken chance

Excellent thread mate, seeing this makes it real all of a sudden.
There's a real determination is the team now and everyone who comes in seems to buy into it. We're like the Japanese army, at the moment ...
... no matter how many casualties we have we just keep attacking and wearing the opposition down.
I'm expecting an hour of Tranmere giving it all they have but I feel we'll catch them as they tire.
Our passing, against Portsmouth, was excellent and Wembley should be another good pitch for us.
Haway the Lads!!!
