I'd take all competitions seriously no matter what. We aren't one of the top 6 with the luxury to rest 8 and still beat another Prem team. Our best chance of silverware is this or the league cup. Promotion is number one atm but we should have the 'win every game mentality' right through the club to the u7s.
Always felt the same about it mate. Our squads have always had the depth to deal with this competition. Memories made today make it all worth it imo

Look at those players who missed out, Wright, Jones, Sanderson, Hume, O'Brien, Willis, Winchester. Team will be quite fresh on Wednesday with those who are fit.
The match itself was a difficult watch at times. Typical Sunderland, putting you through hell, but we won at Wembley. Hope every single one of you has a really pleasant evening. <cheers>

Loved it. Happy days with those lads back as you say.

dunno if it was mentioned on here but seen someone posted about it 'over the road' ... watch the behind the goal view of the goal but keep an eye on o'nien, the bloke just keeps going up and up and up in my eyes like.

Absolute class the way he drops to his knees and prays. Love him, how could you not he’s 100% bought into this club and what we’re all about.

Buzzing for Mackems everywhere. It wasn't pretty but we got the job done. Sat and watched it with me dad, who I've had a season ticket with for over 20 years. I've always said I wanted to see us lift a trophy with him by my side at Wembley and its gutting Covid has robbed us of that. Still got to sit together and watch us win though.
