    Where's TC got to?

I wondered if he's full of praise for Blackburn Rovers <laugh>

Good to see Richard Thomson there. Not everyone's cup of tea, but apart from being a fine guitarist he's a brilliant songwriter.

I am going to see Richard Thompson at The London Palladium in November. I took a DNA test a year ago and found out he is a second Cousin, which came as a huge surprise to me. I don't know my Grandmothers history as she was brought up in a Home. I also discovered that I was 27 per cent Scottish and only 23 per Cent English. The rest is Maltese and Irish.

Little bit of trivia: his first band was with Hugh Cornwell, later of the The Stranglers. It's hard to imagine but it's true.

Have you actually met or is it a relationship that sits in the background?

I know about Hugh Cornwall because i went to his 70th Birthday concert at the Royal Albert Hall and they played Golden Brown together. I have spoken to him but it was before i knew i was related to him. It was at the Orchard many years ago. There was a fire alarm during the middle of the set and everyone was evacuated. He is a really nice down to earth guy. I have met his daughter Kami after the Rails concert in London a while ago. Her husband is the guitarist with Chrissie Hynde.

For those interested, here is the set list for Saturday's show and a link to the music files.

Saturday's show was a blues evening as it was the 50th anniversary of The Allman Brothers' famous concerts at Fillmore East which were excerpted on Eat A Peach and have now been released in their entirety.

Some of the songs date back to the 1920s and one to even before then.

I know I'm an awful technophobe, but I did download it, and when I clicked on the Phil Ashby show it disappeared. Computers and me don't agree I'm afraid.

Probably one of the strangest things I've ever seen. Shame it's not advertised in the internet - I'd love to see the reviews by the satisfied customers.

If you clicked the link and got to WeTransfer you should have seen a Download option. Clicking that should download the folder to your Downloads on your computer and then you should be able to open it as normal. When I have time, probably tomorrow, I will do you another link of just the files without a folder. If you click on that and download you should get 20-ish mp3 files in your Downloads folder.

    Sand recipes: https://www.sparkpeople.com/calories-in.asp?food=sand

But I am more invlined to heed this from a doctor:

Sand is mostly Silicon dioxide, which is not absorbed or digested, passing out in the stools. Children frequently eat sand, as do certain pregnant women, this is called Pica. It is possible to catch parasites from sand which maybe due to man or animal fecal contamination of sand. Small quantities of sand are unlikely to cause any problems, larger quantities may cause mechanical obstruction of the the intestines. Again this can be pure mechanical block not due to sand per se.

Birds eat sand as part of their digestive proess. Maybe the ten people who tried the sand and liked it were her collection of budgies?

Got it<ok>. I've been listening to some of the old bluesmen recently. I love Blind Willie Johnson especially, incredible power. And Mississipi John Hurt's guitar playing is a thing of beauty. These guys were all self-taught and so their style was personal and individual. Robert Johnson created his first musical instrument by stretching metal wires down the side of the garden shed!
