Twitter ITK (who has been fairly reliable) has said tonight that "the club think they are up, Premier league recruitment has started".

Reading between the lines that would suggest deals agreed, money committed, but it still feels early for that. Still, being able to make that the primary focus in March is definitely a bonus.

Yes, unlike when you get there via the playoffs you can focus all the energy early onto plan A of recruitment

Presumably we start with spending around £12m on Gibson and Giannoulis (possibly another £6m Quintilla as well). Then it's working out the 25 player limit and how much more we can spend.

Stories are emerging, one in the EDP, that we have contacted Spurs to begin discussions about re-signing Skipp for next season. But a lot of water will flow under a lot of bridges before any final decision is made I would guess.

In that sentence it's the past participle (i.e. after the word "has"), so can be either shined or shone and I think is more often shined there.
It can also be "shined" past tense - like "he shined his shoes"
A widely accepted rule of thumb regarding past tense usage is:
"Shined" if it has an object, "shone" if it doesn't. So "The horse brasses shone" but "the groom shined the horse brasses".

Is it possible the Skipp position and role will go to Sorenson if we get promoted?

I think that’s highly likely. Mobile, excellent tackling technique ( stays on his feet).
Ironically, might add a little extra in terms of goal threat.

van der Finz
Whispering this quietly... he might be even better than Skipp. Club absolutely love him

Have to agree with Superman. You don’t want to change a winning system and Skipp has been superb, but every time I have watched Sorensen he has looked silky on the ball and he seems to offer more going forward.

German defender rumour with another Paderborn connection - Sebastian Schonlau.
26 year old, right-footed CB. 6' 2" if height's your bag.
Out of contract this summer.
Has also played at DM. We could do with a right-footed, ball-playing CB with dependable distribution.
