It’s interesting that I think today Skipp has been very disciplined, in front of the back. Instead of having effectively two defensive midfielders with Skipp on the right and McClean on the left, McClean has had a much more roaming role.

I think that must be partly the opposition, but also partly because Giannoulis is excellent positionally and even when caught out of position is rapid.

I know it was a bit frustrating the first half, but Wycombe worked really hard and played well - so from my perspective this is some of the best football we’ve played this season, especially since about five mins before half time.

A good footballing brain is a strange thing. It's not necessarily to do with general intelligence, but a kind of vision and an ability to see the whole pitch. Wingers often seem not to have a good footballing brain for some reason, which is why there are so many promising young wingers who fade into obscurity once they lose a bit of their pace.
