What absolutely biased drivel, talk about rewriting history ...

... no wonder the Mags believe all their fictional facts.

" .... he recalls the 2015/16 campaign that saw Rafa Benitez replace Steve McClaren - but not in time to save the club from the Championship."

There was plenty of time, they were in a much better position than Sunderland ffs.
Almost 10 games and all their rivals to play. Sat in the best position and still went down

Just had a new carpet fitted this morning and the fitter who we've had before is a big Newcastle fan along with his dad, hails from Washington originally and talk got round to football, he was telling me he hasn't been to a match since Rafa left, neither has his dad.
Says he knew how things would end up under Bruce and fully expects to see them relegated.
Having spoken with him previously I was surprised he ever bought football up but he was so down in the mouth I actually felt sorry for him, well for 10 seconds or so.

I've just spat my tea all over and burst out laughing.

The man's nothing but a head up his arse, toffee-nosed, clueless Tory tit.

Can you imagine how embarrassed you'd feel if that was a Sunderland shirt?

Don't know what he's got to smile about like...

If the tables had been reversed and the waiter had saved them and we’d gone down the mag journos would still be referring to it today in every write up and tv interview possible.

Because Rafa failed they have actually air brushed history. Like some modern day versions of Lord Haw Haw.

One journalist (same one that replayed the derby in a computer game until till he got the result he wanted) even wrote a book and called it a “Rafagation” as if perhaps somehow it was part of some great plan to world domination

Got to love having these as our neighbours but we must keep reminding people of the truth though.

Any how I thought it was the victors who got to write the history books ?
