He made a lovely cushioned header for Doucoure in the lead up to our early goal tbf like.

I have no idea what he’s supposed to be tbh, he’s not got the legs to chase and close down, he can’t tackle for ****, he’s got zero goals and zero assists. What is he?

Think we bought him to play at the head of a diamond, but I'm struggling to see where else he fits since he came back. In fairness he did get a near season ending injury against Everton in the first derby, and theres some of the coaching staff still think he should have an op. This is not the Thiago who played for Bayern or even played against Chelsea, except for giving away a pen. He epitomises what is wrong with playing 4 3 3 when you don't have the players for it, imo. I have to believe he wasnt bought to play in 4 3 3. But we'll probably see him at cb before the end of the season.

Yeah he was on his way down, as Arnold had slid in front of him as he’s running full pelt, without challenging for the ball, and DCL has nowhere to go, so he’s brought him down, and then made sure he hits the deck by moving his leg up the finish the job off. Carragher wouldn’t have batted an eyelid if that was at the other end. It was a penalty.

Oh eh Tobes, think Carra was ultra critical of Liverpool yesterday and was pulling no punches or having any excuses. But even Klingon head Lescott said it was never a pen, and it really wasnt mate. Oh and you've missed that Keane tried to drag Salah back when he was through for that excellent Pickford save. He doesn't dive EVERY time, and hrs far from being the only diver on that pitch yesterday.

Was ****ing embarrassing though.

If we dont get 4th we might as well be 8th.

We are 6th, level with everton who have a game in hand. The only bright spot you could point out is spurs are as bad as us. (Imo games have caught up with them now)

Literally crap spurs form is keeping us from 8th today.

We are 5 points off 4th; further the title is now 16 points away and long long gone.

I can only think of Spurs in the top nine who are playing worse than us this calendar year , so eighth is indeed realistic. I think top four is remote, and probably needs chelsea, west ham, villa and Everton to all collapse and us to go on an unlikely winning run , as we ain't catching city, Leicester and United.

As I’m pretty sure both of them thought like most reds, that yesterday would see you get back to winning ways in the league after a good result midweek against Leipzig and you always win that fixture. So as the realisation dawned that you weren’t coming back in that game, you could literally feel Carraghers frustration and anger.

Mane’s dive was another beauty btw, and then for added popcorn he lost his **** when it wasn’t bought and got booked for dissent.

This team, without virgil fab and hendo, is not winning 10 out of 13 even though we've played most of our difficult games - we are still losing to the likes of Brighton, Burnley and Southampton ffs. The comes a point when support - which I give my team unreservedly- becomes blind fanaticism. My mate in work - not a Scouser I hasten to add - still thought we could win the league until the Leicester loss, and is even today not ruling out second place. But he thinks that wont be needed anyway as this team will win the CL again as it's at Istanbul...

Have to say your your diving comments are pretty shameless considering the constant screaming whilst throwing themselves to the ground from your lot in particular by Richarlison who makes Salah look rock steady on his feet .

Surprised Jurgen hasn't blamed God yet. Didn't see his interview after the game, but had a bet with my niece he'd mention the wind. Did he?

Seen an "interesting point" on twitter about the first goal. Guy claiming the everton throw in that lead to their goal was taken 12yrds further forward than it should have been so VAR should have ruled it out.
Bloke got a lot of hate but did get me thinking about our VAR record this season and what that ref would have done if by some miracle we had scored in a similar fashion.
