I think for the first time this season I’d suggest making no changes and keeping the same team for Tuesday?

Momentum needed and “same again” should be the message surely

Depends whether or not how many defenders are fit. Cos 09 and Power will play.

I like O'Brien but whether its confidence or not, he is not beating his man and taking shots.

4 3 3, with Mcgeady, Wyke + another winger, there are 3, Diamond, Gooch, Jones

Midfield if all fit, Leads, Power and 09

Others on the bench

Flanagan and Younger back in training from tomorrow I believe, so Tuesday surely too soon for them. Especially with so many games over next few weeks.

Only two changes I’d consider making would be O’Brien for Diamond or Jones and Vokins for McFad if fit. Although like I say I’d probably keep it as is to build momentum, unless anybody needs a rest

I can’t wait till Jones is fit enough for more time on the pitch. I’ve already decided I want him here permanently. He’s like a younger quicker version of Mcgeady.

There's no way I'd drop O'Brien.

He won the free kick for the first goal, got their man sent off and was involved in the third goal.

He fired in a great curling shot, from outside the box, that was just wide, with the keeper beaten.

But, above all he's constantly on the move and occupying defenders on the right and in the centre, even the left.

Wyke is much better with him there tbh.

Are you sure about that...

More touches than McGeady will surprise a few people ...

... don't think people see his work rate tbh.
He was on the pitch 25mins longer than McGeady for those 3 extra touches... 0 shots on target, 0 key passes. Never won a header all game.

I wouldn't expect O'Brien to stay with us if we go up a division. He's just run of the mill for this league imo.

I think he will make a couple of changes, he mentioned using the whole squad and the games are relentless. Winchester or Scowen will come in for Leadbitter to keep him fresh for the weekend imo.

Assuming we have 4 fit defenders, I prefer 4 3 3, which generally means two wingers that tends to rule out O'Brien.

Yesterday we played 5 3 2, partly cos we had to have a bit of a makeshift defence that needed shoring up. Mcgeady playing a roving role and O'Brien up with Wyke. O'Brien is not a midfielder nor a winger. He can obviously work with Wyke. Atm obviously the best combo is Mcgeady and Wyke and we do not want to mess with that.

Then if Wyke is the main goal scorer and he is feeding off crosses, having them come in from both wings is preferable. Diamond or Maguire deliver good crosses.

Not that I think that O'Brien is poor, but using him means a different set-up (not necessarily a bad thing) but as the saying is don’t change a winning team. If we gave found a way of scoring goals, keep doing it.

I think it's going to be a while before we have more than 4 fit defenders with real first team experience. LJ has said Bailey Wright is our for up to a few weeks, Flanagan I don't think is close to playing in the first team and Younger is relatively untried (and still not fit) which I think for now only leaves Sanderson, McLaughlin, McFadzean and Vokins as recognised fit options. There some emergency options like Gooch playing at full back and as we know Onien can be played anywhere.

I sit corrected.... how many goals has he scored and how many assists?
What is this - 20 questions? <laugh>
- he has scored the same number as Aiden McGeady and has the same number of Assists as Charlie Wyke.
But you were talking about shots - he has more shots per game than anyone except McGeady and Wyke.

I think LJ will make changes - he always does. It really depends if McFadzean is fit, and who needs a rest.
Jones looked good when he came on.

Not really getting at O'Brien, stats help to see the full picture...he is a decent partner for Wyke, in that they both occupy the CBs.

As you say it depends on who is fit and probably how LJ reckons the opposition lines up that decides the formation we play.

After hearing Wright will be out for over a week I agree.

Unchanged starting XI and some really good attacking options off the bench.

The only change I'd be tempted to make would be Jones in for O'Brien
