The issue is, I wouldn't bank on us winning either of those games. If anything, the opposite is more likely to happen than not.
you got £34m the year you lost to Chelsea in the final . It ain't to be sniffed at - though i think this years prize fund is reduced as Eufa are getting less commercial & broadcasting revenue due to Covid restrictions .
I think rumours of Liverpool's demise have been vastly exaggerated! They might be going through some bad patch at the moment.. The results in the games they have lost imho have not been justified. So would not bet on us getting anything from that game!
we have been looking toothless up front and the defence has gone awol . Hopefully Fabinko & Jora will be fit again in a couple of weeks to freshen up the attack and give the CB's some protection respectively .
Ermmm how was that not a penalty to Saka from Cooper's action!! seriously, Cooper committed a foul on Saka by barging him off the ball, no intent on a tackle! For me it's the same as Luiz... should have been a penalty and a sending off!!
Unsuprising that we look a better with a side full of ball-players (Artetas - history working with Pep) Really good performance.
Excellent half, some great interplay and movement between our attacking players, nice co-ordination between midfield and attack, won the ball back when Leeds have overcommitted men forward and have been fairly untroubled defensively. Keep it up Arsenal
Artetas constant faith in Willian is going to cost us. We are clearly weaker without Smith Rowe. Was a terrible substitution.
****in nervy last 30 mins in that game. Leeds never looked like giving up. Good to get the win though and great to see Auba back in the goals. Bodes well going into a tough run of games
We seem to be the only team 4nil up, coasting and most supporters still cannot relax. There is no pressure, we are not in the mix for the title, not worried about relegation, just perform with the handbrakes off and see where we finish.. But the doubts always creep in, always seem to want to give teams a way back in!
To be fair, that's Leeds all over though. They never give up and always throw the kitchen sink at it. It's the only plan Biesla has got. They are the ultimate 50/50 team this season, winning as many as they've lost. They can go into a game and win it 4-0 or lose it 0-4
Leeds are always a side that will throw caution to the wind, so I wasn't surprised to see them go gung-ho even at 4-0 down. I am disappointed with the 2 goals we conceded though because we defended really well for the majority of the match and limited their attack to very few chances. Bamford and Raphina barely touched the ball. We were lacking concentration it seemed. I do wonder if we took our foot off the gas at 4-0 and lost a bit of intensity, as we were thinking about Benfica on Thursday (a HUGE game). However, I'm not going to be too upset. We needed a win and, for about 60 minutes, put in an outstanding performances with our 2 most influential players out injured. My only major criticism was Willian coming on who offered nothing yet again and completely disrupts the rhythm of our performance. I don't get why Martinelli isn't featuring.
