Well David Luiz - should never have been sent off but it WAS a penalty.

The issue is he is soo prone to this **** - like as a footballer he's very talented but hes a constant liability.

He was immense against United but in the Southampton game he had a few moments where I thought he was going to do something crazy. Its always there the possibility he will do something rash.

I was really hoping Arteta would go back to Holding and Mari.

That incident was really unlucky. Although he was caught out of position in the build up.

And he does always have a calamity in him every few games.

Still a big player though. Well worth his place in the squad imo.

Mari had played well though when he came in and his pairing with Holding was really developing. I think we're alright at CB tbh, hopefully Saliba will be back ready to go into the team too after the summer.

Arsenal have lost their appeal to overturn David Luiz's red card against Wolves...................

I’m not surprised, as the FA/PGMOL aren’t going to admit they made a mistake, and they’re getting away with it on a technicality. However, I don’t see the logic behind overturning Bednarek’s red card and upholding Luiz’s when both incidents were fairly similar. Frustrating, but we move.

Bullshit is the word I think you're looking for.

But yeah, nothing we can do about it, so no point crying about it.

Because Martial dived so it shouldn't have been a pen let alone a red card.

more contact in Martials dive than Luiz challenge.

Also if it was such a dive how come the ref didn't reverse the decision after watching it a few times ...
Because it's Mike Dean. Martial was going down before any contact was made.

There was virtually no contact between Luiz and Willian Jose. He didn’t even try to make a tackle and still got punished. Then the ex-referee said if Luiz had attempted to make a tackle, he wouldn’t have been sent off. Well, he did that against Tammy Abraham last year and still got a red card, and VAR didn’t overrule that one either.

He’s damned when he makes a challenge and damned when he doesn’t.

Bednarek’s was rightly overturned but Luiz’s should have been too. Either they both should have been overturned or they both shouldn’t have.

In theory.. isnt it the players in front foot rising whilst running that actually makes contact with Luiz's knee...anyway it's happened and we move on to AV... it's the fact we don't have a decent back up to Leno that worries me more..ironic that we are up against Martinez

I mean, are we seriously wanting Luiz to be available? The fact he's suspended means we can play a proper centre back now. Our rivals would have been rubbing their hands with glee if his ban was overturned.

Will be good to see Holding and Mari paired up again. They were forming a decent partnership

Any news on whether Tierney is back ? Tbf Cedric has done really well since he's been in the team

Sigh - Arteta needs a top striking coach. We just arn't scoring enough goals.

We need to be ALOT more ruthless.

Ugh worrying about Arteta.

He'll probably just bring Willian on as well - when we have Aubamayeng, Martinelli and Odengaard.
I feel like Mourinho would have made big changes at half time after a half like that.

We are not going anywhere with Arteta, simples. Hopefully a lack of European Football next season will be a wake up call. He really should be under pressure now.. Finishing out of the top6 should be a sackable offence!

I agree - I think they will give him the Summer to get his signings in but he should already be under pressure for sure. This isnt good enough

I must say I find it funny that Wenger was sacked for finishing 5th then 6th

Emery was sacked for languishing in 8th

but we will probably allow Arteta to finish in the bottom half of the table. For no real reason.
