Great snippet of local history that. As a kid, my ma & pa used to take us to Spurn Point many a weekend in the summer (mid to late '50s). The names Easington, Patrington were en route as my dad's old 250 Norton plus 2 seater sidecar (with my sister & myself battened down in it - ma on pillion) struggled over the oft pot-holed roads through the viillages of that remote spot in E. Yorks. Happy days.
