I was just catching up on some MOTD games, and I see West Ham had brought in Lingard and he took Bowen's place and scored twice.

Even though Jarrod has settled in well to life in the EPL, and has been a regular starter, I saw that Moyes was a bit critical of him and his lack of goals.

It will be interesting to see what happens, it looks as if he has some real competition for his place now.

Didn't Lingard fit into the central role behind Antonio, with Fredericks in Bowen's position on the right?

Lingard is versatile so potentially a threat, but I don't think Bowen needs to worry too much. I imagine they'll both start today.

Yes, in this game he did, but Lingard is a winger by trade but can play through the middle. It will be interesting to see what Moyes goes with.

Great snippet of local history that.
As a kid, my ma & pa used to take us to Spurn Point many a weekend in the summer (mid to late '50s). The names Easington, Patrington were en route as my dad's old 250 Norton plus 2 seater sidecar (with my sister & myself battened down in it - ma on pillion) struggled over the oft pot-holed roads through the viillages of that remote spot in E. Yorks.
Happy days.
