Just had Dominoes.

My daughters birthday so she chose food we'd all sit together and and eat. The local bloody Italian was closed though, so ended up with this (very edible) ****.

Wolfed the lot!

The sauce did let it down.

Fillet, and cooked mainly rare I would say. It was bloody tasted, surprised me as I usually go for a ribeye

Yeah, would generally prefer a bit of fat in there too.

Not easy cooking a big thick fillet rare and it be warm inside. Got to put in the oven a while to warm through.

Rather have a cut to fry in a pan then rest.

Surprisingly warm all the way through, cooked 3mins 20secs on each side then rest for 2/3 mins. It was lovely!

Never had a fillet. Always go for sirloin. If I can get one that's well aged at my local butcher it's delicious rare. Just eat it on its own with salt and pepper.
Delicious.

Gonna try something different.

Best steak for flavour and juiciness?

For fillet have the pan screaming hot for 1 min each side. Then low for 8-10 mins with loads of butter. Get it perfect then.

bone in rib-eye or a t bone. But regular ribeye is my favourite weekday steak.
