Fillet, and cooked mainly rare I would say. It was bloody tasted, surprised me as I usually go for a ribeye
Surprisingly warm all the way through, cooked 3mins 20secs on each side then rest for 2/3 mins. It was lovely!Yeah, would generally prefer a bit of fat in there too.
Not easy cooking a big thick fillet rare and it be warm inside. Got to put in the oven a while to warm through.
Rather have a cut to fry in a pan then rest.
Rump or ribeyeNever had a fillet. Always go for sirloin. If I can get one that's well aged at my local butcher it's delicious rare. Just eat it on its own with salt and pepper.
