On and off. Like most sports, the Pandemic had ruined it for us viewers. Without the fans the atmosphere etc, the Masters (not my favourite Major) is like watching a monthly medal at your local club. I'm unable to get excited. Sky's commentary is ****ing woeful mind..as it always is. Unsure on a winner, had an each way bet on McIlroy...waste of money that is/was
Atm very pizzed off that Bonko has shut down golf courses. Will the hulk overpower the Augusta?? Will golf balls be subject to regulation? Or one ball for the pros and one for the amateur?
Atm, flicking between golf and rugby. Ireland and Wales thumping each other, quite fun. Wales could be a 6 in a run loss
Well done fella. Never had one yet despite over 30 years of trying! Closest I got was a shanked shot which went ike a rocket, destined fir the pond behind the green, caught the “flag” part of the flag (not the pole) and dropped to within 3”!! although I have had a par 5 albatross which is technically a better score than a par 3 hole in one!
Par 5 albatross is brilliant. Best part of it was we have a hole in one jackpot on saturday comps, costs $1 to enter. Originally i didn't enter but then went back in to buy a coffee and was given $1 change so said **** it, put me in the jackpot. Means i win $700 too This is the hole tee blocks and pin were back so it was 120 meters
I really did try to get into the game. My in-laws were very keen golfers. They used to live on Collingtree Park golf course in Northampton which hosted the British Masters once. I used to go to the local municipal course and try and play. For whatever reason though I just couldn’t get into it. I found it boring. Still do. Not that I’m taking it away from those who play and watch it. It’s just not for me.
Well done Ozzy, Hole in one is a great feeling, hope you kept the ball. Also, amazing for Marcus, I've played this game now for nearly 50 years and got nowhere near to an Albatross..Had 2 hole in ones but would give them both up for an Albatross, i'm well jealous.
Cheers Flanders. Kept the ball and am going to get it mounted on a little trophy of some sort (TP5x for those that are interested)
We managed 28 degrees here in Abu Dhabi, nice breeze going off the Gulf and the drinks cart had Magners on board....it was a good day
Excellent. I've only managed one before and that was about 9 years ago on the 16th at Throston. I was playing with former Sunderland player George Herd and he hit the flag on 17th at Castle Eden. He said thank **** it didn't go in as he's sick of buying whisky. He's had 6 holes in one.
These bastards bragging about the weather and playing golf can **** right off! Picked up my new irons yesterday and they’re sat in the ****in box they came in, missing the links of South Shields.
I often wonder why South Shields and Whitburn do not combine and become one 36 hole club. Better for members and would save money/fees. My uncle is a member of Whitburn and I play there now and again.
