Morning all. Grey and light rain, so not a great day to be outside. We bought a large quantity of loo paper, not because there was a shortage, but because there was a promotion on and the supermarket was almost giving it away. It is stored in a cupboard under the bath, and when we went to get some found that a mouse had just started to attack the packaging. Out with the live trap, and within half an hour had captured him. He can search for a new home and meal now in a barn. Have a good day whatever you have planned. 
Morning All... got up to make the tea as usual for a Sunday morning, lovely sunny day... by the time I've made the tea, emptied the dishwasher, and bring up the brew to our room, the clouds have closed in.
Have eaten swordfish before, not marlin. Red snapper is probably my favourite. Grey mullet is too strong for me.

I once spent three weeks on a ship travelling from Cape Town to Fremantle - for the last two of those, that was the main ingrediant of every meal served up. I haven't eaten it since.
My favourite is Barramundi.
Morning all. Wet and windy again and I am getting a bit fed up with it. The river that flows through our nearest small town is full, and another few days like this will see it spill over the banks into the campsite. The white goose that has taken up residence has moved to higher ground since the island that was his favorite place to watch the world go by has disappeared beneath the waves. Still we are into February, the last month of winter usually, the evenings are lighter than at the start of the year, and the snowdrops are in bloom, so things will improve. Morning all. Yes it is grey and damp again. Another mouse was ejected last night from the house, scuttling away into the field and heading towards my neighbour's barn. I have watched them in the past going up a vertical wall then squeeze in through a tiny gap beneath the tiles. Over time I thought I had managed to block all entrance points, but clearly not. It is always this time of year when we feed the birds and the mice come along to pick up the bits they drop. Never mind, there is space for us all, even if it is in a barn across the road. Have good day whatever you must do.
Morning all. Wet again and another mouse to be released into the wild. Signs that Spring is not far away with the first of the cranes overhead. Coming back from town, about fifty or sixty I guess were in flight formation heading north. When you see them on the ground you can see just how large they are, so it is no wonder their progress across the sky is slow. Even when they are several hundred metres above you you can hear the squawking and the beating of their wings. Enjoy your day whatever you have to do.
Morning all. It is not raining at the moment which is a relief. Yet another mouse caught, five in total now, all of them appear to be adults, so I don't think underneath our bath is a maternity ward. Daughter's birthday today so have some plants for her that will help to fill up the garden, so better get the wheels on the move. Have a good day whatever you will do.

You should start marking them OFH, might just be the same one coming back every time
Morning all. Grey but dry currently. Another mouse (number 6) to be released this morning and an internet that keeps coming and going. We have been taking our mice to woodlands about 3 kms away, so suspect that it is not the same one returning. News conference here yesterday evening saying that further restrictions on our movements are not required at the moment, but they are very worried about the mutations that are taking place with the virus. Son-in-law stuck in Switzerland as coming home is not regarded as an emergency. By comparison the UK looks to have a muddled set of regulations concerning movement of people. My introduction to red snapper was after we moved into our previous house, the landlord of our local enjoyed cooking for us to the extent that, having bought a cooker for the house we didn't connect it for a month or so... he would "experiment" on us for his menu.
Long story short I ordered the meal that was on the menu several weeks later, dining al fresco in the beer garden midweek after a hard day at work, the landlord Pete brought me my dinner... on a thali... "I can't be bothered to fillet it..." a whole red snapper, folded on itself. Took me an hour and a half but I ate the lot. No, they couldn't believe it, possibly two kilos of cooked fish, I've no idea? Scrumptious!

Morning all. Grey, but not raining. Mouse number 7 to shortly be released into the wild. Bread dispenser was busy this morning with quite a social gathering. Seeing as most of them had small white vans it is likely that they were local farmers. I guess the price of sheep and cattle was being discussed as they didn't seem a very happy bunch. I sat in the car and waited my turn hoping they would leave some bread for me, which they did just. Have a good day wherever you are.
