We should never be complacent or dismiss the opposition but I'm hoping we get going early tomorrow and give em a drubbing!!!
We need to make a statement and hammer them, I just hope they're not of a mind to do a Sheff.Utd on us. We have been known to be generous to struggling clubs, Oxford were in the bottom 4 when they drew with us, haven't lost since...

I recall the 20/11/04 game. Lost 2-4 Played in a snow storm, though not as cold as the MK hockey stadium farce.

Swindon looked half decent in the win at Ipswich, but that doesn't say much....City win 3-1

I recall it too, their social club, which is very near the away turnstiles, allowed City fans in. When they left for the turnstiles the scumbucket plod refused entry to a fair few claiming they were drunk.

John Trollope must have features aswell.
He played a monstrous number of games, so yes, must have overlapped. Rogers was brilliant - surprised he never went to a much bigger club. Spent a few weeks in Shrivenham, mid 60's, close to Swindon, and somehow kept an eye on their team's fortune ever since.
UTT tomorrow however.

We certainly need to get back to winning ways, so even though not a must-win, it certainly is important to get one. With others with games in hand for us to lose and possibly fall behind our rivals will make it a more uphill task to get promoted automatically.

It will be a big loss if George is out, Crowley, if he came in, in his place, might have the attacking threat, but probably not his work rate.

Nevertheless, assuming he will come in, I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets on over 90 minutes.

For starters I'd like to see Ingram recalled .. nothing against Long but I just think he is a much more assured and calm keeper.

Emmanuel and Burke back .. again nowt against Coyle or Jones in fact I think they've done okay but we've looked more composed and Emmanuel brings that attacking threat and energy.

Good idea re putting Jones alongside the Doc .. hasnt let us down when he has been in there previously and Smallwood looked leggy, a game's rest won't do him any harm.

Me personally would go with Whyte KLP and Wilks .. I know Wilks is the epitomy of frustrating but he does cause opposing defences problems .. I get the feeling that doesn't know half the time what he is going to do so defences will have no chance !

2-0 City to get back to winning ways

Didn't Rogers go to Palace for a season or two in the old Div1, scored a few goals but was perhaps out of his depth or coming to the end of his career.
