Are you sure the ones wearing cycle helmets weren't fans previously shafted by Webb in the Premier League?
Yes well said, Webb has done Spurs over time and time again and its no surprise its usually at Old Trafford and Anfield. We should beware repercussions though as we found out with Wiley in the cup semi against Pompey, Harry publicly criticised Wiley after a PL game earlier in the season and we end up with him reffing our semi, in which he gave us nothing and disallowed a perfectly good goal for a non existent foul on David James.
We should do a thread where we all post a picture of ourselves so we can all put faces to names. Who's up for it?
That wasn't even the first time we'd been ****ed over by Wiley in that season's FA Cup run! In the fourth round against Leeds he gave them a penalty when replays showed Dawson got the ball (and Beckford dived - badly), and he was letting Bolton clog us into a pulp in the sixth round as well. The bloke made Clattenburg look competent...
Makes you wonder why he was appointed for the semi-final really, doesn't it? In the same game that he gave Leeds that ridiculous penalty, he failed to award a foul on Lennon when he was clean through on goal, despite it being one of the most obvious hacks I've ever seen. Nowhere near the ball and clearly scythed down the man. Such a blatant red card.
I remember both of those games well. I never saw replays of either decision but I was sat 4 rows up just behind the goal and was certain Dawson got the ball, I have no idea how the ref thought he was in any kind of position to give it either he was looking through a crowd of players. My mate told me afterwards that he saw the replays and it was a pen so I assumed I'd got it wrong. As for the Portsmouth semi, every part of that game was a farce but apart from the ridiculous ruled out goal I remember Huddlestone and Dindane(I think) both getting booked for slipping over when they tried to stop. I mean they both took players out but it was so clearly the pitches fault, was early on and both of their first fouls.
