Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka has expressed his disappointment that Howard Webb will be officiating Croatia's next match.

Webb has been handed the Greece against Croatia qualifying clash on Friday evening.

And Spurs ace Corluka has told the media in his homeland that he is not particularly happy.

"Almost every time I get at the game when Webb was in charge, I have had negative experiences," Corluka told SportskeNovosti.

"He was referee at some Tottenham games and almost every time he wasn't good for us. Especially against Manchester United. I hope that this time it will be different."

Charlie telling it like it is <applause>

He's always been fairly quiet in the media, he just gets his head down and gets on with it so Webb must really piss him off if he's going to comment on him.

I don't think that he's said anything remotely controversial, to be honest.
I hate it when Webb refs our games, as he tends to make massive mistakes.

His performance in our win over Blackburn in March 2010 saw both sets of fans criticise him, for example.
The 5-2 at Old Trafford was an appalling performance by him.

I'm trying to work out how the useless ****er received an MBE for services to sport, considering he's done so much damage to every game he's been in charge of, to the degree he is now globally reknowned for being useless after wrecking the World Cup final worse than Mark Van Bommel did.

The MBE is presumably for his services to Man Utd, though I'd defend him on the World Cup Final performance.
He made some poor mistakes, but whoever was in charge that day was in for a kicking.
Both sides made the game as hard as they could for the officials and they both should've been slaughtered for it.

Which one are you then? Just so i''ve got a name to put to the face i end up having English Class flashbacks too tonight ;-)

I'd agree with PleaseNotPoll, the World Cup Final is about the only game I wouldn't criticise him on. If ever there was a definition of "no win situation"....

But the games he's been the "ref" for us, particularly against ManU have been awful.

Lets hope Charlie's comments don't come back and bite US in the arse when he refs a Spurs game next. You don't upset refs, as Everton found with Atkinson last weekend.

Well said Corluka, Webb has robbed us time and again. Who can forget him disallowing Defoe's perfectly legitmate goal at Anfield. Another game-changing decision against us, I absolutely detest the bloke.

That was the same game when Crouch had his shirt pulled in the box from behind by Kyrgiakos, who used both hands, resulting in a foul... to Liverpool. <doh>
