I never done anymore now until July, with work and house stuff getting in way!!
Had a week at the caravan early July, so done this one up there. Really easy this one, and was only a cheapy at £12.
Pleased with it though.....another one where the engine is on show, rather than covered with fairings.

Is the petrol tank on these a fake tank? Seems there is another tank under the seat.

Next up was the Kawasaki ZXRR Ninja....and what a model this one is.
My son bought me this for Father's Day, and I enjoyed every minute of doing this one.
The level of detail on this is superb, i just hoped I could do it justice.

you really do have a talent there mate, wished I had half the patience you have. I bet your kids love how easy it is to buy presents for your birthday and for Christmas

Next up was Saturn V rocket used in the Apollo moon missions. I enjoyed this one, but it was trickier than it looks....
All painted, ready for decals.

The Lunar Excursion Module. This is the part that lands on the moon.

Service Module (arrowed) is the part that exploded during Apollo 13. The part above that is the Command Module. This the module that returns to earth.

The top part is to protect the Command Module during launch, and is jettisoned soon after.

All done. To get an idea of size, the people on the model base are to scale.

All finished....or is it?

Had a week up the caravan again, and done this one up there, a VW Samba Bus.
Not too happy with this one. I think I rushed it a bit, so not as good as I had hoped. I left it at the caravan, so will probably re-do a few bits next whenever we are allowed to go again.

Last one for 2020.....a Leopard tank.
Built as per instructions, but nothing painted in progress, all done at the end.
I had bought an airbrush and compressor kit, so this was just a cheapy (£11) to practice on, and wasn't too concerned about messing it up.
I wanted to do a rough, weathered, winter camo version, rather than the all over green that it was meant to be.
Quite pleased with how this turned out....i just didnt want a "new" looking tank.

Spray booth needs a bit work.....

Thats it for now.
Next one will be an Iron Maiden "Aces High" Spitfire which was a Christmas gift.
Was hoping to get it started this week, but I've got a feeling that the boxes of laminate flooring, tins of paint and pack of brushes/rollers that the wife bought today might put pay to that.
"There's some stuff in the car, can you bring it in".....i was expecting a bloody couple of bags of shopping.

@rooch 3
This the thread?
This was the next one I done, the Iron Maiden Spitfire, used as part of their stage show during the song Aces High.

The standing Eddie is about an inch high...

This was the second time I had used my airbrush, well pleased how it came out.

I probably will do them one day.
I bought that jeep to have a practice. Although my patients can wear thin at times :D

I've got a mini paint gun in the shed i never used but it's one that runs off a tyre and read they are crap ???
Way back I did the Revell HMS Victory and the Cutty Sark then lost interest. Recently I’ve thought about doing WW2 aircraft but don’t know where I’d put them. I’ve just got to see a Spitfire and I get tummy flutters. Around 30 years ago I was crossing Beach Rd when I heard the growl of merlin engines. I looked up and there was a Lancaster. I gazed adoringly until it was out of sight. Sad thing was nobody else was taking a ha’porth of notice.

The decks are done in sections, and added to the hull, just loose at the minute as they have to come off again later.
Pointy end....

The HMS Victory was the first one I done Sandy, and it kind of got me hooked into doing them.
I find it very therapeutic...I can just switch off to everything and go into my own little world for a few hours. With everything I had going on at the time, it was a godsend really.
