Him a Gerrard kept getting games and Gerrard it never worked... Scholes was the best of all 3

Scholes actually might have been in fairness, not going to disagree with that. Truth is though that they were simply different players and actually not easily comparable even though people seem to insist on trying. You need a manager who can utilise them correctly or have the balls to stick to a system even if it means leaving out one of your best players... oh and luck.

Went out on penalties twice under SGE when we could have easily had semi-finals and then we had an equalising goal incorrectly not given against Germany by.. erm... Lampard (seems a lot like someone stepped up when it mattered). It happens, that's the game, but as someone who regularly watches a team full of players going through the motions at club level I cannot recall ever seeing that from Lampard in an England shirt.

Lampard never did **** all for England he along with others failed when it mattered.. Thats my point... Gerrard was the only one that did anything in the major competitions.. Lamps did not produce when it mattered.

I never said he was good btw so try to stay on track

So you admit defeat. Thanks, I accept your apology.

Could probably do with a Gerrard v Lampard thread. Not sure one of those has been done before.

Clearly Lampard is much better otherwise Gerard wouldn't be managing in a Mickey Mouse league, the quality of which is an embarrassment to the word "football"

@ general chat to confirm

In other news the makems were out on force after our game at arsenal last night, but they've gone rather quiet again today <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Sunderland are in serious trouble..nkw 9th in league one and 6 points off the play offs.. I mean it's hard to feel sorry for myself as a Toon fan when I see that.. I mean it's hilarious, but I do have empathy
