Liverpool were there for the taking & United just didn’t get their tactics right imo.

They were facing a midfield 3 of Thiago, the Alpine Messi & Wijnaldum, only one of whom is decent in the challenge, yet instead of matching them up, they played that **** system that saw Pogba as a right winger & tried bypassing the midfield every time with a hoof over the top. Fernandes didn’t get into the game as a result and Pogba was predictably gash.

 

It's always going to be shown mate, as if they wouldn't.

Very rarely is it anything but drab though.

 

If Everton and City win their games in hand, Pool drop out the top 4 ... Villa could push them a place further (If unlikely) ...
