What would be the criteria for him moving to an EU country?
Is it the same for those coming here?
Guess would need some kind of work permit. I doubt a PL footballer would have much issues with the amount they earn
He would need a permit. I don’t know the rules on moves in that direction but it must be much easier given that German clubs don’t seem to have any issues signing uncapped British players on free transfers, even from smaller teams in the Championship. Ings would have no problem if that’s what he opted to do.
Wouldn’t make a lick of sense unless he was going to a CL-contender superclub though. There’s no money in it for him. We’d still be looking to pay him more than most of the teams on the continent.

Wonder what happened. He was rated pretty highly once upon a time.
Wasn't there a rumour in pre-season (last season) about fitness/attitude issues in one of the young players? His name was mentioned on various boards, and he did seem to disappear from the match day squads (having been involved the season before).
Should have coloured it blue SB. It was not meant seriously, we were suggesting male up a story.. sorry!
Supposedly he came back for one pre season very overweight and was bombed out of the training camp, never to be seen again. Like so many young talents, if you don’t have the mentality necessary to push yourself and maintain your physical tools then you won’t be making it in the Premier League. Not everyone has it. Christ, I know I couldn’t do it!

I used to go and watch the Gills when we could.
There seems to be a bit of affiliation between Gillingham and saints.
Alfie Jones and Tom O'Connor were on loan last season, O'Connor still is and in this window have taken Tyreke Johnson and now Slattery.
Hopefully I will get chance sometime to go and watch them.

Me. I’d have thought that bigger teams would be in for him. A few weeks ago it was Arsenal, Liverpool etc. getting linked. Be surprised if he moves in this window and it would be a huge signing for West Ham.
