Personally (and I may get pelters for this) but I'd like to see Diamond and Neill both go out on loan to League 2. But only if we bring in a good wide forward now. Whilst Diamond has played a fair amount since LJ took over, I doubt it will continue and he still looks raw. U23 football won't cut it for him. I fear he will play sporadically for the rest of this season and not develop, when he could really do with bossing a league like he did last year. Perhaps back to Harrogate for 6 months.
At the moment they are, yes. We are a midtable league 1 side at the moment. I'm talking about how we improve though - so I'd have him gone.
Neil yeah because he doesn't look like he's getting anywhere near the team but Diamond is getting exactly what he needs, quality time on the pitch in a Sunderland shirt. If I was recruiting it's not a position I'd be looking at as a priority.
Food for thought as we look to improve the side in this window: Danny Graham 50 Appearances 1 Goal Mart Poom 58 Appearances 1 Goal Puts our plight in perspective.
How do forwards like ours get to be footballers who actually sees them and hires them how did we buy Graeme again when we new what his original record was like our club has just been a cash cow for any useless sod whe can’t get a club anywhere else and then we give them 2 and 3 year contracts
Rumours we are interested in Jayden Stockley, Preston, 9 goals in 64 Championship games last 3 seasons.

Derby in financial trouble, and saying they will have to sell young players. Had a fair few good players come through their ranks recently. Maybe us and others will raid them and swerve the salary cap.
Don't think we'll be alone. Should have more clout than most in league one though, and looking to make changes.
Reading the runes, (ancient Nordic signs, probably still more reliable than social media)... if Hume us out for a while, yes of course we need cover for LB. Also there is a big stumbling block of the salary cap.. There seems no hints of any of the inept strikers being given the heave ho... could be the biggest problem facing the club atm. How do we get rid...and bring in some better prospects... perhaps the new rich owner (whenever it is announced?) Can provide some cash to smooth the path? Just about half the season has gone, if we can score goals (new players a must) we still have a prospect of promotion. No new strikers means promotion a lot less likely, imho of course.
I wonder if the £5m payout to Alveraz, is what is holding up, new owner and new player announcements. Although if due diligence was done the likely/potential liability would have been known.
