Remember he's now unemployed as he left QPR. He may need the money.

There will be a lot of players who'll want game time trying to break into their national sides for the Euros (if they happen) so if you're clever it may not cost that much to bring a few players in for 6 months or am I being naive? I'm sure there still is players like that.

He's only intersted in a few loans because he spent the clubs profits in the summer. He's going to keep Bruce, get a few decent loans and hope it keeps the club up so he can complete the sale.

I mean ffs he's not going to spend anything he can't get back.... He wants the price he's agreed and so do pif... He can't just throw 20 million away and then sell the club at the same price and PIF don't want to pay the extra 20 million... Its just common sense ffs.

Honestly don't think I've ever been less enthused by the club as I am right now - and I say that having not been to a game in 4/5 years, having got fed up giving MA my money, having witnessed legends, managers and players treated disgracefully, two avoidable relegations and the rest of the utter shambles during the last 14 years of MA's "ownership" and despite all this, it honestly has never felt worse to support this club. Yes everything that's gone before adds to it but the last few months have been a disgrace.

It's particularly frustrating as someone who is studying coaching (because I LOVE football, my life goal is to coach at a World Cup - IDC if its with a U10 disabilities team or the England national men's team, that's what I want and I'll get it because I want it more than anything) it's painful to see just how little fore-thought, planning, reflecting, adapting or anything I am learning about is not being implemented by a ****ing EPL manager with 25 years experience and worked under one of the greatest coaches, Sir Alex Ferguson, of all time in his playing days. I know in my heart that I could and would be doing no worse than Bruce and certainly would be playing better football than 10 men behind the ball and smash it forwards to a lone striker with no one within 50 yards of him. Quite frankly its prehistoric football that would not have been acceptable in the 90's let alone in the modern game. Stoke managed it because they played 4-4-2 so there was always support up top and they were absolutely clinical to be fair to them.

Turned the game off after 20/25 mins vs SU as you could see what was coming, my mates love to text me when **** is going wrong for NUFC because they know I'll give them some hilariously OTT remarks but when my mate text me this week to say - Frasers been sent off, what happened? I just said "don't know turned it off and tbh I don't care" no overly zealous remarks about cutting people or shipping them off to some god forsaken hell hole (usually Sunderland, or some middle eastern cave I research).

It's a disgrace from the top to the bottom of the management structure at the club and it hurts. You can look at the players and slate them as much as you like but what chance do they stand when there is no plan. It's like going over the top in the world war - they go out there and know what to expect but what can they do? Try and survive the bullets whizzing by and pray to whichever god they believe in that they make it through the afternoon.

Ashley is the main issue in all of this but he doesn't take charge on match day, he doesn't advise on the tactics or player selection - that lays at Bruce's feet and he has the audacity to say he won't walk away from the challenge? If he had even an ounce of integrity or a sliver of interest in the club he claims to have supported as a boy he'd have walked yesterday.

Talksport slammed him and said its time to change coach. One down, the rest will cave soon.

There's no defending him, if you watch it or just look at the stats - either way you slice it you can't back him (unless you are Mike Ashley)

I see Dion Dublin has said that Bruce will turn it around.

Just like he did at every club that has sacked him yeah Dion? Complete plank.

And that’s what’s so upsetting ( It still takes me 2 or 3 days to get over a loss) it is all so avoidable if only we had a manager who wasn’t born before the main star of Jurassic Park.

I have tried to explain to my wife that I don’t mind losing (she’s not convinced) so long as we are beaten by a better team and we have given 100%. That, amongst many other things, is one of the reasons I get so annoyed with Bruce, simply that we aren’t necessarily being beaten by a better team an/or we aren’t giving it 100%. And the 100% doesn’t just apply to effort it applies to all aspects.

Brucey's presser is in half an hour. A game to ease away the bile. Not sure why sleeve rolling has been missed, but still:

Interesting stats on Twitter about formations. 4-4-2 comfortably our most successful, yet mystifyingly Bruce keeps going with the constantly-failing 5-4-1. Weird.

We've played 5-3-2 (my preference) three times, won, drew, lost. However, the selection each time was again quite baffling - when we have 3 in the middle, he's put the likes of Hendrick and Fraser in there, which is nonsense. He also had Fede as LCB. We have a stronger line up to compete and score with 5-3-2 right now - when everyone's fit it picks itself. Then we have enough to also look at 4-4-2.

I'd absolutely persevere with Joelinton and Wilson up front. Almiron can be in a midfield 3, or left of a 4. Statistically, we do better with SLong and Shelvey in midfield, but I'd be tempted to pick both Longstaff's or Matty with Jonjo. Hayden's pointless in midfield if you have 3 CB's. If we have 4 across the middle, I'd keep picking Murphy right and have the more disciplined Manq or Krafth behind him. I'd still pick him as RWB as well, but Manq would be first choice there. Jetro should be LWB with Lewis as backup.

I'd keep hold of ASM in the likely event that Joelinton doesn't turn into a PL footballer. Also would just use him from the bench mostly.

Points of note - Almiron isn't a RM. Fraser isn't LM. ASM isn't any good tracking back. Joelinton's only possible use is in a front pairing. Hayden's a clogger. Hendrick is poor.

"The one thing I ask from any team is to mirror what I'm supposed to be all about: I was never blessed with the most ability, but I made a career - and probably in management, too - by demanding the basics are done well, you come in and try your best."

He's rapidly running out of ****ing places to hide and excuses he can conjour up now like ! Only a matter of time before he's jettisoned in my opinion. Ashley will probably wait until the transfer window shuts so he can avoid the question of fundage from any potential new manager and he'll pedal Bruce and bring someone else in....**** knows who but they can't do any worse than the **** this arse clown has served up for us for the last 6-9 months.

So on one hand he says “i take full responsibility for the team lineup and result” but then says “we threw a hand grenade in and we do it to often”.

Steve your admitting YOU got it wrong with the lineup and result. You can’t then say WE threw a hand grenade in.

YOU ****ing threw them under the bus you prat!
