I agree. We currently are hoping there are 3 teams below us who will play as bad in the second half of the season as they did in the first half. Bruce is relying on luck and not skill or tactics or leadership.

Fair to say I didn’t want him here when he first arrived. Also fair to say he did better than I expected last season. But also fair to say he is following his well trodden path this season where he is performing abysmally but true to history. All you have to do is read comments from the fans of Clubs where he has managed previously to see how poorly he is rated by fans as opposed to his friends in the media or part of his Agents.

Any other owner would have sacked him by now. Most owners would never have employed him in the first place. Sadly our’s doesn’t care so long as we aren’t relegated.

Do you ever think that managers ever delve into the realms of what we look at.

He must read bbc news and sky sports articles. It’s too easy for him not to. I sit in bed when the wife is asleep and google nufc crap.

I worked for a (twat) who owned a football club and he regularly read things so SB must be.

How he can be like Teflon is above my mindset.

Just watched it on MOTD. Fulham had a load of attacking intent and could have easily won it. Great to watch. We are so negative it’s beyond belief.
I’m no great lover of ASM, he has a heart the size of a pea, but there’s no doubt we get much better results with him in the team.

Teflon is super accurate. Watch the film Dark Waters with Mark Ruffalo. Explains that Teflon, originally made to coat tanks and military vehicles, is so toxic it causes cancer and death by way of pollution, but big corporates covered up its effects on an entire town in the name of profits selling frying pans.

So Bruce is Teflon and Ashley is DuPont.

If I was Bruce I’d be very tempted to throw the likes of Charnley and Ashley under a bus. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?

Jamie Redknapp "you were no better under Benitez"

We were better under McClaren ffs.

The man brings my piss to a boil, he is "LI'ERALLY" a giant ****ing weapon.

He can join Bruce in front of the firing squad. My list is getting filled.

Newspapers please do not quote the above, these opinions are in jest and do no constitute a genuine threat.

    U ****in ****s

Shearers penny worth. However if he really is SB best friend why doesn’t he call him up and make him do something different.

SB is looking after himself here (which is fair enough) and just wants his pay for the next 18 months. He’s strong and thick skinned enough to take the flack. But he’s leaving an ever lasting legacy.

Shearer's right about fans leaving the club.

On the verge of packing it in myself, barely watch us anymore and when I do I'm miserable.

Some proper football out there with great talent, why waste your time sticking up for this lot.

Championship and league one sides are better than us

Well this is the biggest gamble he’s making.

Honest question if you where Ashley would you

    • Stick with SB, spend no money and hope or;
    • Try and influence it by sacking SB getting in some decent loan players and incentifying the team to get enough to survive.
Granted the second option will cost £15m upwards however is it not worth the spend to guarantee safety and the takeover?

    Am I missing something?

Ashley loves a gamble. What we really need is the takeover approved ASAP or given the green light so the new owners can "encourage" Ashley to get rid. I'd be surprised if they weren't already on the phone to other managers.

If I was Mike Ashley, i would be getting in my chopper or plane and flying to SA every week just to tease the fans.

I would then pay Jamie Reuben to like tweets making it look like he's involved

I would by nick de Marco £1000 an hour to make bread and post photos of sliced bread on twitter

I'd randomly make changes to my companies on companies House just for ****s and giggles

That's absurd - Jamie Reuben would do it for free.

That’s a good point actually. Why would everyone involved waste all that time and effort into the arbitration and everything else when it all hinges on PL survival?

Surely they would be in discussions to ensure the takeover can happen with PL survival the highest priority!
