Can they go back to give another free kick? Shocking decision to not give that tbh.
Very good use of VAR there.
An incident like that was always going to take time. But they made the right call which is the main thing.Took ****ing ages. At least we're out of lockdown now though.
If the Brady one is considered to be red, yes. Because you can review a red.
Had the Brady one been considered to be a yellow, they wouldn't have gone back to the Shaw incident. And Utd would have had a chance to score!
And FINALLY! A PL referee who gives a yellow card as part of a VAR review (of something else). You are allowed to do it!

They also had to determine whether Shaw had committed a red card offence. Why was it? First replay was clear Shaw committed a foul, the rest is irrelevant. Job done.

If VAR existed to review everything, I would agree with you.
But because VAR only exists for the four particular reasons, they were slightly limited by what they could do with the Shaw incident. By which I mean, they could only go back to it if either they felt it was a clear and obvious mistake to not send Shaw off, or a clear and obvious mistake to not send Brady off (in which case the build up to the red card, including the Shaw tackle, then gets looked at in turn).

Bob Lord must be turning over in his grave at Burnley selling their soul to the devil.https://theathletic.com/2305713/202...er-football-soccer?source=user-shared-article
The terms of the Burnley takeover look shocking to say the least - can only think this will end badly.
In summary:
ALK bought the club for £150m
£80m of that came from a loan from MSD
£55m came from the cash already in Burnley's accounts
ALK put in the remaining £15m
Burnley have gone from being a club with £55m cash in the bank to £80m in debt overnight. They are 5 points from relegation.
Why not edit your hashtag to anyone but Liverpool and Manchester United?I'm not ecstatic about it being ManU but time to resurect my hashtag [HASHTAG]#anyonebutliverpool[/HASHTAG]
No it’s not for me. I want them to use technology but not to give long delays. It’s not about getting a perfect game but about removing glaringly obvious errors, in my opinion.
