You make my point perfectly. You (and others) would much sooner blame the Great British public than the failures of the government for the fact that we have much worse pandemic outcomes than almost anywhere in the world. Yes, there are a small minority behaving badly, but this shouldn't be allowed to deflect from the scandalous £22bn failure that you couldn't give a toss about.
You're starting to embarrass yourself. Try actually reading what others write. I don't care what you say about Ellers as he does often blindly support the Tories. I've explained my opinions and you prove my point by completely ignoring it. ****'s sake, you're like a broken record.
I support the government because we live in a democracy and they were elected. I have said they made mistakes but so has just about every country. I support all the medical bods who come on TV everyday to try and explain things while you and your ilk take swipes at them. I support all the hard workers of the NHS who risk their lives daily to help people even the idiots who think this is all a lie. They don't care they just do their jobs while others believe they know better. I think a few of you really need to look back at the start of this thread because there is more flipping than a week with Mr Starmer. I can agree with Col here in that you are like a broken record.
I haven't ignored your opinions at all. It seems quite clear to me from your posts that you hold the general public primarily to blame for the fact that our pandemic outcomes have been worse than they should have been. 'We are getting the pandemic we deserve'. Have I misinterpreted that?
There have been so many mistakes made in this last year. There has been no firm leadership by the government who have reacted slowly and incompletely at nearly every turn. Through that the UK population, well some of it, has taken advantage...and has done whatever it wants..Cummings trip certainly help with this mindset So many examples... If you can go to school with your mates...why can't you hang out with them afterwards. Businesses crashing and burning...but Tesco's making huge profits. People on the breadline because they cannot get support, but money being ****ed against the wall in contracts for PPE and services with contracts for friends of friends. So many other things too. We can only get through this together...on here at not606 as well as in the outside eorld But in the words of the Leatherat song I keep quoting ... "We are all in this together, but some are more in it than others"
That's where you are wrong. I would never start mocking those medical bods like Vallance/whitty/JVT like I have seen from some on here. Of course they are the real experts? I moan at Labour because Mr Smarmer and his Stepford wives they are just playing politics while people are losing their lives.
So he says it’s not about a new variant of the virus it’s all down to the way people behave. Let’s split the difference and say it’s a bit of both.
How dare he say this about people.... who else can we blame... let me think... I have got! Let's blame the government!
Only an absolute cretin could deny that the government have ****ed up on many occasions during the last year! On top of the mistakes, money absolutely wasted on inadequate contracts given out to friends. The trust has gone. People are acting however they choose for a variety of reasons. Some just purely out of ignorance, selfishness, awareness etc. Whatever the reasons, trust in the people who make up the rules vanished along time ago. Lies on national TV. Graphs designed to cook the books, promises made and promises broken. Stats made up to suit an agenda, the list could go on. So whether it's right or wrong that someone goes to a supermarket daily, 7 people go for a walk, someone goes for a drink in a different tier, someone gets closer than 2m, someones mask is around their chin etc etc, it all comes down to people not listening to the rules. I do what I think is right, not what that silly fat lying twat in no.10 says, or that crocodile tears health secretary says or that chameleon Gove says. I ignore the government rules because they are ****ing stupid. I stick to my own and touch wood, theyve done me alright up to now!
