Ryan Wintle at Crewe is a name I’ve been given as a target. Not sure because I’d have thought our priority is an AM and he’s more in the Greg Docherty mold.

I think there's a footballer in Adelakun somewhere, just a question of finding it. He can look comfortable and elegant on the ball but he often does the wrong thing with it. Style over substance maybe?

I looked up Adelakun in the index of my Atlas, but there is no country of that name.

And so it starts... the silly season...
Probably bollox and definitely the £1,000,000 quoted...

Newcastle United are interested in signing Hull City youngster Jacob Greaves, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The 20-year-old has been hugely impressive for the Tigers this season. He has made 12 starts for Grant McCann’s men in League One.
And it appears that his performances are not going unnoticed higher up the pyramid. The Telegraph reports that a number of clubs are watching the centre-back.
And the report suggests that Newcastle are one of the teams interested in Greaves.
It remains to be seen if they decide to make a bid in this window. But it would surely be a surprise if Hull did not receive a bid for the academy graduate before the month passed.
It would be an exciting move if Steve Bruce did decide to make a move for Greaves – who Hull value at between £500,000 and £1 million, according to the Daily Mail – in the coming weeks.
They have a number of experienced players at the back. And it would perhaps be a smart move to bring him some bright youngsters.
Newcastle have tended to not be amongst the biggest spenders in recent years. So targeting some of the Football League’s best prospects could certainly be a good way for Bruce to make the most of whatever budgets he has.

Comes as no surprise, Steve Bruce loves signing sons of ex-footballers.....!

Can't imagine Ehab putting that value on him. If he isn't going to be sold at a level that halves the club asking price, it isn't worth it....

They’ll have got the value off some website, but it’s irrelevant because he won’t be leaving unless the bid is ridiculous.

Mm, not sure what I think about this. I think he has been a useful addition to the squad but really not done enough to merit starting. If KLP was 'available' we all know he would be first choice. And Scott should really be pushing for a place but has been disappointing. I'd have thought we can bring in another loanee who will offer as much as Adelakun but who knows.

A squad player at best, if it means KLP gets more starts it's a win all round - he's no great loss.

It's quite a blow this. He may not have lit the league up but he's been a very decent addition and I'd rather have him in the squad than not. I suppose the bright side is that we've got just under 2 weeks till our next league game to replace him.

Saw a few Bristol fans saying he's on £5k a week, surely we aren't paying much more than half that. They're switched to a system with wingers and are probably thinking that they're better off having him around
