... or the weirdest one you've ever known.

I've had all kinds but this will probably top, or should I say bottom, the lot.

It'll consist of being in lockdown in an isolated farmhouse near an isolated French village without any neighbours, friends or family. Midnight will arrive at 11pm UK time so I'll probably be a bed by then. I've eaten and drunk so much over Christmas I don't think I could face another feast.

There's no football.

At midnight I'll become persona non grata in France and would need to fill in a mountain of paperwork to be able to live and work here. The MOT on my van runs out on January 1st and the French garage won't do one on a RHD UK registered vehicle.

All I need now is for SKY to realise I'm using my Sky box outside of the UK and cut me off.

Happy New Year everyone, how will yours be <laugh>

Bloody lonely. Happy new year to you and Mrs Smug<diva><cheers>

I've never been one for celebrating New Year. I'll be spending it with my old man but I'll also be helping out with the dogs that are in the kennels, at the moment. One has just been brought back today... unwanted Christmas present :headbang:

I'm hoping for a much better 2021 and my main wish for next year is that we have the older folk and vulnerable vaccinated as quickly as possible. Then I'd like to see lives returning to normal, mainly for the kids. I can't bare seeing them having to live the way they're having too right now. Kids should be carefree and innocent.

All the best to everybody on here <ale>

Happy New Year to you and Mrs Smug. Just us and the three grandchildren in this house, but after spending the last 8 months ill in bed I will certainly be pleased to see the back of 2020!

I hope things get sorted sooner rather than later for yourself and your good lady mate. Have the best New Year you can in these strange circumstances.

I've loved Christmas this year. Made dinner for the bubble in laws, kids were over the moon with their presents, I've got a dozen bottles of wine in the garage, Southern Comfort, Gin and Rum also stocked up.

Gutted about not being able to go to the footy with my son and dad over Christmas though, Hull was a great fixture to have with Honeyman coming back, it would have been packed imo.

Takeover almost done, exciting times ahead for SAFC.

New year will probably be fairly quiet, kids in bed by about 10ish and me and our lass (nor) following shortly after!

All the best for 2021 everyone, happy new year and a big, fat **** off to Covid-19.

Had a hearty chuckle at that bit.

Have a good un OA.

Here's wishing everyone a happy and covid free New Year :emoticon-0168-drink I am more of a Christmas man myself, when I was working, I always volunteered to work New Year's day to get Christmas off, fortunately there were plenty of takers (mainly Scottish) so I had no bother swapping shifts.

We were planning on a quiet night at home until Mrs O (bugger off) informed me on boxing day that we've got about 10 people coming over to ring in the new year.

Cue the jobs list to make everything pretty and perfect. I tried explaining that we needed to do **** all as everyone will be **** faced by 8pm but apparently this idea had no merit <doh>

Nice post mate and all the best to you and everyone else.
I'm not a big lover of new year celebration either.
I'm happier with cats and dogs and staying in with family lol.
