You follow George Galloway? Who finds stories from 2011 to tweet?

Who gives a **** about Redknapp?

I follow a broad spectrum of interesting people or publications, Galloway is a complete narcissist but a usually smart operator. He's come unstuck with his football visit though, just as he had Sturgeon under pressure...

A depressing read from Clive, but some very valid points regards our penchant for sacking managers and rushing into appointing their replacements ahead of our game v Norwich tonight

He was great on the last QPR pod too. It's why I'm so nonplussed about Warburton in a way. Won't bat an eyelid if he does go as it's so hard to defend much of what he does - but equally happy if he stays as I have zero confidencd the club have the ability to get someone in who will do better. Sorry for being so bleak.

This is certainly sad reading for MW; but it is also sad reading for those at the top of our club who continue to throw out the babies with the bath water with every new appointment as manager. They could at least get something right. Following exactly the same process/pathway and believing it will come out differently (ie smelling of roses and sweet success) hinges on madness for sure. Sometimes you have a few trip-ups to get it right, but our lot aren’t learning anything with each trip, stumble and lurch sideways/backwards.
It’s a desperate situation. But no must win games have popped up yet, so we’ll be fine :emoticon-0138-think ... apparently.

He expresses eloquently why I see little point in sacking Warburton. Get in some goal scorers quick, and Warburton with the likes of Eustace, Ramsey and Les close at hand, should have enough to keep us up.

Looking at the clubs in L1, there are at least 7 we used to play regularly in the Championship and even a couple in the PL too.

Not great for the kudos and the finances but maybe we need a dose of that to rebuild (again).

I understand where you are coming from...but the risk is we go down and stay down...and continue to decline. The bottom two in league one are currently Wigan and Burton...how many of their fans thought that relegation a few years ago would give them a chance to rebuild? It hasn't worked out that way. Look even further down and you see the likes of Bolton and Bradford in League Two. Two clubs I remember seeing in the Premier League not too long ago, who haven't been able to halt the decline and have continually dropped down divisions. Surely far better to secure a few wins...and start to rebuild from where we are...instead of having a year or two, or three or four in League One.

Also, I remember watching us in what was then Division 2 from 2001 to 2004 and some of what I saw was really poor stuff.

Having read the article, I do wonder who is signing the players that come in - and wonder whether they are for the future or right now. I also wonder whether there is a proper scouting system in place which identifies opposition and also potential transfer targets, and whether there is a defensive coach. I also wonder whether Eze leaving, and then Manning at last minute has resulted in BOS (and maybe others) thinking that the grass is greener. The only player so far as I have said who has done anything since they left has been Eze
Maybe it would be better to keep MW until the end of the season, I just want to see the team concentrate for the whole game, play with their hearts on their sleeve and play to each other's strengths.
Maybe this is the game we nick it one nil.....

Yeah....I'm sure it'll all be fine.

For me it’s about the coaching, Oz. I don’t think that overall this is a ‘Bottom Three’ squad and I do think Warbo deserves some praise for having the right set of footballing principles. But, as many better versed in footie tactics & player assessments etc. have said, we seem to have neither the skill set within the squad to effectively execute the philosophy nor the Plan B to win back points when our back’s against the wall. If the defence is being coached to defend then I’d like to be a fly on the wall for those sessions. Likewise, if the players are being coached in how to put the ball in the net, then I’d be surprised.

I have nothing personally against Warbo, and I get Clive’s piece about having a top-to-bottom philosophy within the club that all subscribe to, but the one thing a Warnock has that few other managers possess, is an inherent ability at this level to devise a way of playing that best suits the players at his disposal, not the other way around.

I think Pearson has the same, or can at least get more out of this set of players than Warbo is managing to.

Who are these goal scorers that people keep going on a about?? Anyone who can muster 15- 20 goals a season will be regularly playing and probably on more than we can afford to pay. We could look to the lower leagues but that's a gamble as we are already finding out. It takes a bloody good manager or a big investment to progress up and out of this league. We have neither.

Ol Colin would be great, but I think he''s already occupied this season. I gather Hoos and Pearson, arent best mates. Not sure he is well yet either and wants to manage at a higher level than we are.

I dont think the squad is strong enough for this League. It was last season with Eze, Hugill, and Wells for part of it, making and scoring the goals that got us to mid'table, but the new strikers aren't good enough, BOS has gone backwards and Chair and Carroll are not much more than average at this level. Defensively I think we have improved a bit, but we are in desperate and urgent need of goal scorers to keep us up, whoever the Manager is.

What’s this stuff about Hoos & Pearson... and is Pearson unwell?

I doubt Pearson would get a PL job again other than another at a relegation basket case.
