... at Marseille FC.
Word around the campfire, in France, is that the Saudis have switched their attention to France and Marseille is seen as the most prominent club. They have a high profile, fanatical support and a history of European competition.
The current owner is known to be 'a seller' and the French league is keen to have money coming in so would nod through a bid for the club. They already have a state owned club, in PSG, so there's a precedent set.
Marseille has a high percentage of 'Arab' supporters and the city has a 'Riviera' glamour to it, albeit a busy working port and a slightly shady image.
There's been a hope among many supporters that Louis-Dreyfus would increase the stake in the club and take over, but their hopes have been dashed in that respect. We're 3 hours from Marseille, but there are lots of supporters here. This could become quite interesting.
