Spot on, his experience and career should be an inspiration to any 3rd division playerHe'd have been one of the best strikers we ever had if he didn't have Quinn and Phillips to overcome.
Its nice he wants to come back to his roots, it would bring a good vibe to the place having one of our players back that experienced a winning mentality for us. It can only be a positive for me.

If he has the relevant qualifications I'd like to think he would be a welcome addition to the youth set up, he will certainly have plenty of experience to pass onto the young uns.https://the72.co.uk/209903/ex-leeds-united-striker-wants-sunderland-reunion-applies-for-vacant-role/

Always remember the Everton away game did he get 3 or 4If he has the relevant qualifications I'd like to think he would be a welcome addition to the youth set up, he will certainly have plenty of experience to pass onto the young uns.
I remember him scoring a goal at the SOL, he got the ball somewhere around the centre circle, he raced forward and beat the keeper and slotted it home. Wish I could remember who it was against.
I remember he ended Bruce's career, I was at the bar as usual and missed 3 of the 5 goals, but happy day'sAlways remember the Everton away game did he get 3 or 4
Great player in his first spell with us. Not so good second time around though.
Just because he is considered a good player by many doesn’t mean that he will be a good coach.
If he does come back I hope that it’s because those that interviewed and assessed him saw that he has demonstrated his ability to do the job.
Remember that one of the many reasons why we are in this tinpot league is because we have employed people who weren’t capable. Paul Reid, Tony Coton and Richard Hill anyone?
That's the game he ended Bruce's career, left him on his arse in a 4-0 victory to the lad's away at Shef U, 28th November, 1998, a brace each for Bridges and Quinn. Happy HuntingHe scored a cracking goal away to Sheff utd. Sure he scored more than one that game...
Was at that game. ****ing freezing. Class game but got a ****ing parking ticket outside Goodson and nearly got stuck in the snow on the A66 on the way back. Not a bad first touch..
