That there are still people around who think the BBC is left wing shows how difficult it is to change a person’s opinion. If through watching the political correspondents and the way interviews become nothing more than party political broadcasts on behalf of the Conservative party, they can’t see how wrong they are, then you were fighting a losing battle. Still. POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
I think this goes under the heading of “You couldn’t make it up”. It would appear that last October, the UK handed over the responsibility of monitoring boats in British waters, to a French company, part owned by the French government. https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/n...gXQGJFCVLhUEI-SCeUsMuhQ#.X-DCJHhg2-A.facebook
Boris Johnson is facing yet another backlash after incorrectly saying only 170 lorries were stranded on the M20 in Kent. The prime minister made the claim at his Downing Street press conference on Monday evening. Highways England later clarified the true number of lorries at 6pm that night was more than five times this number: 900. Furious opposition MPs branded Johnson a “liar” and accused him of “spewing propaganda”.
Not wishing to suggest a twist of facts here, but it was Grant Schnapps that said it. See my earlier post. I only noticed it as I heard 700 lorries in the radio in my car about 6 minutes before Schnappshead declared he had juts checked before walking into press conference and it was 170.
This. This is what this ****ing shambles of a government have done to our country. Volunteer groups from around the country are ferrying hot food to these stranded drivers, who should be bringing fresh food into the country. What a ****ing triumph.
I have been reading that there is only one toilet and it is blocked. Might be an exaggeration but it might not be. The truth will out.
This is a weird moment. I actually agree with Trump: Trump urges Congress to amend 'wasteful' coronavirus aid bill https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55420366
If any of you don’t blame the Conservative government and the months and months of lies, deceit, and outright corruption, leading to the approaching third wave and thousands of lorry drivers stranded at ports, just have a look at this: https://fb.watch/2z1m9u1_Wq/
I’m not sure that it will make any difference to some. I think it is time for the political world to have an award that recognises how a person lies their way into a job that they are unsuitable for. It could be called the Ali Dia does Politics Award.
.....and while the evil Patel is busy trying to deport people from this country, in a sane part of the world the French are doing this as a recognition that kindness should be rewarded and embraced: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-55423257 We really have become a ****ty little country run by ****ty spiteful and small minded crooks and criminals.
