The Govts Tier system simply hasn’t worked. Closing hospitality whilst virtual everything else carried on as ‘normal’ during a period when it was obvious retail outlets would be rammed with people shopping for Christmas, was utter madness. Especially given we spent November in lockdown.
This Govt have kept repeating the same mistakes from March onwards, they’ve acted too late continually, seemingly held back by those pushing back against restrictions that have economic consequences. The result has been we’ve ended up making it worse, as each time we’ve acted the virus had patently spread exponentially during the period of hanging back.
