Apologies - I must've missed that Feel free to add to the Wycombe thread....We may need an injection of levity on there come 1700 on Saturday
I actually thought your post was a good one. I’ll do my best when we go a goal down but might be frantically trying to stop my place being flooded from all the tears on the forum.
If you say the wrong thing you will get called a racist or something similar. Just don't mention Biden,Abbott,Greta,Starmer,Corbyn,EU and you maybe okay. The usual suspects will be vetting your posts to see if you are a 'chosen one'.
Alternatively don’t post stupid **** from questionable right wing sources for years and constantly be up in arms about random left wing politicians nobody has heard of while holding the actual government to a far lower standard and then get offended when someone suggests you’re right wing. Not that I’m accusing Stortford of this. It’s more a general thought. For a board with quite an even mix of left and right posters where you can say pretty much anything, the constant victim narrative from one side is just a bit lame.
Well great news for me this morning - I no longer need to self isolate Because my eye op has been postponed yet again And unlikely to be done in January either apparently Probably serves me right for trying to save £2500 back in September by opting for NHS treatment rather than going private
That’s **** mate. Life threatening ops are being postponed all over. It’s a scandal. Best of luck. I’ve no idea what impact it’ll have on you if you had to wait another 3-6 months or what £2.5k means to you but you can’t really put a price on your eyesight and I can’t see the situation easing much before Easter if they’re pencilling you in for before then.
I'm resigned to paying up The same guy will do it privately - he's got time to do it apparently as it is the local NHS trust cancelling ops, the restriction isn't his time Really pisses off when I've been to the eye unit and I see so many of the staff standing around chatting when I then have to wait over an hour for my scheduled appointment. The ICU staff have been incredibly over worked through the pandemic, but the pandemic has ironically reduced the workload in most other departments
Starmer didn't though. Fact is people need to accept that this is a pandemic and things change. We need to adapt. However I'm am sure a few opportunists will try and blame the government for this latest increase in cases?
