Firstly - I hope everyone infected makes a full and quick recovery and hopefully minor symptoms at worse

Secondly - I hope everyone infected were isolated away from the team last night.

Thirdly - really hope no Lincoln or Wimbledon players / staff now have positive tests. could do without this getting worse.

Aside from the health issues, from a football perspective, this gives Johnson 3 weeks to pass on to the players via zoom or teams exactly what he wants from the squad.

It also gives us time to recruit backroom staff etc in preparation for the second half of the season.

Sure, we'll be playing catch up, but but everyone will be more on the same page and getting in the POMO all the time!!!!

Wouldn't of fancied playing those three teams with the squad we had last night either.

Why bother ?

Part of the Sunderland takeover experience is sifting through pages and pages of unrelated ****e, been doing it well over a year now.

In a sense I agree but when you suddenly see an extra 5 pages and you think something must of happened only to find it's something totally unrelated...
Then again life is like a box of chocolates you just don't know what you're going to get - to misquote someone :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Some coincidences starting to happen here with the beginning of the Bob Stokoe reign.

Bob took over the in first week in December 1972. Lee Johnson did

Bob lost his first game, at home 1-0 . Lee Johnson did

In the winter of 1972, Sunderland had a flu epidemic run through the club which led to several games ( can't remember how many exactly ) being postponed. When it cleared up we had we were well down the league but had lots of games in hand on all the other teams. In the winter of 2020 we have this Covid situation with games being postponed.

When we started playing again we went on a fantastic run and ended up winning the Cup. In 2021 we will..............not win the cup obviously! - but could win the league.

Just a thought!!!

I like your optimism sir
I hope that you are right

That was the first season my dad started taking me to the match regularly, I think my first game was 1968 but not sure, turned out to be not a bad season to start supporting the lads on a more regular basis.

Doesn't bother me much, it's not like the takeover's going to be announced and we won't know because the solitary post about it got buried in a load of chat. When it happens we'll know.
Couldn't agree more, I actually enjoy reading from the last point I dropped off, well, most of the time. I find it a tad annoying when there's about twenty threads relative to the same agenda, a good example is RTG.
