I'm struggling to defend Warbs any more - he's making a right hash of this season and it's starting to get quite worrying. Biggest problem will be finding someone who we can afford, who is available, and who would want to come in. Ferdinand and Hoos must be getting a touch worried about their positions too....

I think relegation, with how this year has gone, has the potential to put the existence of the club at real risk. We may have to do something to try and make sure that doesn't happen.

I'd be inclined to offer an appealing contract to a good manager, with a good increase if he can finish above a certain mark next season.

It is not the cliched bollocks that bothers me...because it is often true. Yes, we did have more of the possession, yes, we did pass the ball well at times and play some good football. However, again it led to nothing, and we've not scored. This has been the case too many times this year and I am just not seeing any progress from game to game. The lack of progress worries me far more than the cliched bollocks annoys me. We now sit 19th and 5 points from relegation. Another game like that and I'll be in the 'Warburton Out' camp, before it is too late.

Don’t forget that there were lots of good/promising things about us in this match ... just like in every other draw/defeat this season.
Warburton HAS to go. Anyone could do a better job than him at the moment.

As always though, who do you bring in? I don’t think this is a squad capable of Pulis-esque **** football and nick a 1-0 (not that he’s achieving much at Sheff Wed). Paul Cook maybe. Some obscure foreign punt? There’s also the manic schedule to consider. Little to no time to work with the players this season.

I’m losing patience as I’m sure most of us are but it’s a harder call than it normally would be.

if MW does go, who would want to come into the club with their hands tied by tight finances?

Our capacity to lose football matches to pretty piss poor opposition this last few weeks is somewhat staggering.
That said if Chairs effort had been a centimetre to the left we would probably now be celebrating a glorious victory.

It may sound strange but I think the club is actually a little more appealing to managers than it was when Warburton took over.

The squad seems to have good relationships amongst them and there are plenty of players to work with and get something out of. A good quality manager would definitely be able to get more out of this squad. We are by no means low quality in comparison to all teams in the whole league. But we currently have them punching below their weight.

Things feel more sensible and stable at the club. You can even see why they went with Warburton, because he had a decent history. However, the challenge at QPR has proven too much for him.

We need a confident manager who is very certain about how he wants football to be played (and not just be saying he does!)

Warburton's days must be numbered now. Even Holloway would have got this team winning a few games.
Sorry but Dykes is a shocker. I don't want to singlel him out but when will he start scoring or at least have a decent shot on goal? Iain Dowie MII, no actually Dowie scored a couple. The defence has already been addressed... it lets in too many goals.
Seriously we are in a right state at present.
I just sat and listened to the radio with the Reading commentators talking about spending £30M in January. How is it they can spend whatever and we are making a hash of it on the cheap? When are we allowed to spend a bit again?

I’d have liked Lee Johnson and not just because of Sunderland’s result today. He’s a young manager who at least played the game. Did pretty well with Bristol City too.

It's an easy call to get rid of Warbs but undoubtedly a difficult call to decide who to replace him with

However, the longer the club puts off a change (and I think one needs to be made) the less time there inevitably is for a new man to arrest the rapid decline. It doesn't need to be a "dream" appointment - just someone who can get us to keep a few clean sheets and scoring a single goal more than the opposition occasionally

I genuinely don't think we have a bottom 3 squad. Just a bottom 3 manager
