Really good listen.. I’m very optimistic after that finally we have a plan with structures with people who actually look like they know what they’re doing.

Very good listen - about time we had someone at the club who isnt interested in bluster - just focused on how to put things right to get the club moving.

Good as well that he has taken time to speak to academy players parents - remember reading a thread RTG where a parent commented on how the current regime werent interested in communicating and just accepting offers etc.

Bodes well for the future.

Heard it all before tbh. Can’t fault what he’s got to say, but I’ll take it as a pinch of salt until it’s put into action.

Where?

Seriously, I've never heard anything like it at Sunderland. The new manager usually looks in the desk drawer, dusts off the dog eared old acceptance speech and trots it out ...

... this is something entirely different from someone so committed he's moving his young family to the NE.

I'm confident that he'll make a big difference.

Not sure we have heard this before though have we? Yes we have been given false promises before but these weren't promises he was making this was a detailed plan from top to bottom outlining a whole club plan and philosophy.

We all remember the "Dortmund " model we were supposed to adopt but that statement was as far as it went

I'm very happy listening to that. Most of the things over the years that we've wanted to see, but never have, appear to be in the plan at long last.
I take a lot of confidence from it. Let's hope we can get the ownership issue over the line, done, dusted and made clear very shortly,if we can I feel we can go into the new year with some optimism.

I'm seriously not expecting many more Danny Graham's to be signed over the next few seasons

I also thought that the bit about speaking to the parents of all the academy players was great, too. If the parents can see a genuine plan and pathway to the first team that's got to be good, which gives us a better chance of holding onto our better kids

Got to agree, never heard anything so detailed as this before, a real plan, not just a few vague promises. After nearly 60 years of support, I am actually excited about the future of Sunderland Association Football Club, we could just be on the verge of something special.
