    I live in Colchester and he used to play for them for a few years. Few people round here said he aint too bad. I wish him all the best too

    On loan from Colchester to Accrington. Suffered suspected broken neck tonight in the JPT game at home to Tranmere. Match abandoned after Tom received treatment for 30 minutes on the pitch. Was placed on a drip, unconscious and taken to hospital.

    Where are we hearing that it's a broken neck? BBC website just says "head injury".

    blimey, must be bad if the game is abandoned

    i send my best wishes, and a speedy recovery to the guy, i seriously hope he gets well :) - its not the sort of thing i would wish on my enemies

    Yer I just checked hes only on loan at Accrington. Yer looks bad treated him for half hour on the pitch.

    Oh my goodness. I've been following one or two early reports and they didn't state anything like that. Get well soon that lad. Remember Bert Trautmann, so there are broken necks and broken necks.

    It's unfortunate in the sense that there are people in this world who unfortunately are stupid enough to find something like that funny, and dickish enough to give him a hard time about it. It's actually quite a common name in Germany.
