Bluebaldee, you mentioned a few strikers that are without a club and could do a good job for us to help get us out of trouble. I agreed with you. But I just remembered that we are not allowed to sign any more players. This season you have to name your 23 man squad (not including U21's). Unfortunately Koiki was our 23rd man so we are unable to bring in a striker for now. We could bring in an U21 freebie but they would just lack the experience and probably have never scored a league goal either. Basically, Tisdale will have to wait until the next transfer window to offload someone to be able to bring in a striker. For some reason, 4 left backs and all the defenders and midfielders were more important to BG than getting extra strikers. I guess he wanted Daly and Hanlan to be the main guys with Ayunga as the super sub. Perhaps he thought if he brought in another striker it would have to be someone not as good as Daly and Hanlan so it wouldn't ruin his plans and if they won't be as good then no point signing them as we had Nicholson and JML who could fill in when needed. That backfired obviously.
I know it's probably a little premature to be looking ahead to the cup game this weekend, but at the risk of looking totally stupid, based on our current form, I reckon the match against Darlington could be a blessing in disguise. With no disrespect to our opponents, I can see no reason why we shouldn't win the game reasonably comfortably which will do everyone's confidence (including our new manager) the world of good. Even if we are still lacking in the strike force department, we surely will have enough quality to see ourselves through to the next round and end our goal drought in the process - shouldn't we? - I think - well maybe!! 
I know football don't work this way but Darlington best Swindon, who we just lost to. So its not looking good. Hanlan and Daly will be back. Watching the game on the red button on bbc1. Strong squad but Westbrooke still on the bench for the 3rd game running. If he is not in PT's plans for league 1 then he should be starting today. I would be vrry cheesed off if I was him.
We are passing it about well but not creating anything. No crosses, no shots, no corners and no creativity. 19 mins in and we look like we belong in National League North with them.
