And why should a girl be trying to make herself a bride!
Male determinism right there. Discrimination at its worst this d’Abo fella has a lot to answer for. Thank **** he sounds froggy surely we can deport him after we’ve cancelled him?

Look at Plum’s earlier post, the bloke has previous (Thommo, not Plum).

Nope, they are YOUR words, so it is YOU that is being offensively sexist in assuming only women have hand bags, at least by the rules that you defend.

Around 15 yrs ago I was told of an incident which involved 2 good friends who socialised together, worked together in the same small office space, who were best men at each others wedding and one of which was a god parent to the others child. Both were at work .. and one turned to the other and asked if their friend wanted a cuppa .. the friend replied yes thanks .. you're a good egg .. at that point someone working within the same building walked past and heard the comment and made their way directly to management where they made a formal complaint regarding what they had heard, citing it deregogitary and claimed it to have been a racial slur as the one making the comment was white while the one offering to make a drink was black. When asked how it could be perceived as a racial slur the one making the complaint stated they took it as a racial slur as egg and spoon was cockney rhyming slang of an innapropriate nature for a black person. Despite no inference of this the matter had to be investigated because that person making the comment deemed it to be racially offensive.

Sadly its a minefield out there with what can and can't be perceived as insulting etc .. for me the incident referred to said more about the person making the comment then either of the individuals concerned. But the law states certainly with racially offensive comments that where one person (not necessarily directly involved) deems it to be racially offensive then it must be investigated. Absolute madness !

Erm. No. No it isn’t.

I know the straws are really, really high up on that shelf, but just swiping at fresh air won’t make them come any closer.

Nope, you've made the self and same assumption that the guy got sacked for. By your standards, you are an offensive sexist and you have no argument against it and must meekly accept whatever consequences are felt fit.
