I would normally say home games against Luton and Huddersfield would be certain 3 pointers for us but given our current form, or lack of it, makes that extremely doubtful.
Having seen our pi$$ poor recent performances they will come to us full of confidence and expect something from the games.
Harris seems incapable of varying tactics. In many respects that is the downfall of playing a big guy upfront. It is inevitable we spend most of the time playing the ball up to him instead of seeking alternatives. We limit ourselves in that respect by persisting with Pack. We have also shot ourselves in the foot by only having one, injured right back and Bacuna playing there so we lose the one guy capable of driving forward with the ball with some pace.
Should we risk playing a left back, say Bennett, at right back and use Cunningham who has been uninspiring at best, at left back if fit - or give Bagan a go? He has done okay so far.
Assuming we do that then Bacuna to midfield in place of who? Pack or Ralls? Or drop them both and bring Vaulks back in?
Do we give Bamba or the loan guy a shout at centre back? If so who gets dropped, Morro or Nelson? However if messing around with full backs and midfield it is probably best to have stability in the centre back pairing.
Some have advocated resting Smithies although he has been stuffed by appalling mistakes in front of him, other than Saturday's Millwall goal. Phillips is a good keeper but again I don't advocate further change - for now.
Top 4, clearly Wilson has one of the spots, hopefully pushed further forward where he can do most damage. Despite my continued reservations about Moore, he has to start.
That leaves 2 from Ojo, Hoilett and Murphy unless he wants to play Glatzel alongside Moore. That indicates route one stuff which most sides seem equipped to play against.
You can't really put a *** paper between the 3 wingers. All have had moments where we think they are the answer but have flattered to deceive.
This all points to us having a squad of limited ability without Tomlin so Harris has to make do with what he has. It would help if he could show some ability to motivate, tactical ability and get more from the squad. To me that is very doubtful.
Finally, why on earth bring on Mark Harris after 94 minutes? He was not going to change anything and will hardly be a better player for the experience.
Yours, pi$$ed off from Bridgend, not looking forward to the next 2 games - and beyond.
